He never really settled in Ukraine, gathering only 22 appearances through seasons 2003-2005, so the obvious choice was a loan back to his hometown club Hajduk Split. After this loan had ended, Pletikosa returned to Shakthar but shortly after made a 3.6m transfer to Spartak Moscow. He has established himself as a regular in his new side, and was actually voted the best goalkeeper and foreign player in the Russian league. Pletikosa had established himself as a first choice NT goalkeeper since his debut against Denmark in 1999. 1996–2003 - Hajduk Split – Apps 162 2003–2005 – Shakhtar Donetsk - Apps 28 2005–2006 – Hajduk Split(loan) - Apps 22 2006–2007 - Shakhtar Donetsk – Apps 3 2007 – Present – Spartak Moscow – Apps 37 As we can see from the screenie Stipe’s stats don’t look like they would be could enough for the top teams in England and Spain for example. He may become prone to the odd error or two as his low composure and concentration stats will let him down. I would recommend buying Pletikosa for leagues like Holland, Belguim etc He would be a great signing if you were pushing for promotion but im not sure a player of his rep would want to move down that far. The strengths that Stipe does have are the following: Command of area – 15 One on ones – 17 Reflexes – 17 Anticipation – 16 Bravery – 17 Determination – 17 Agility –16 Jumping –15 Natural fitness –17 Stamina – 15 The problem with stipe is that he has weaknesses in key areas were you would expect them to be high for a top class keeper Handling –13 Balance – 11 Aerial – 14 Communication – 12 Composure – 10 Concentration –13 Stipe could be a bit hit and miss sometimes on fm. I would recommend him for the lower leagues around Europe as I feel he may not be up to the quality of leagues such as La Liga and the Premiership. I could be wrong tho. I have bought him on FM 2008 for Newcastle where he spent merely a season with me due to his incosistancy. Awesome guide yet again Mr. 10. | | | | 24-06-08, 02:26 PM | #3 (permalink) | | Used In Squad Rotation Join Date: Feb 2008 Location: Houghton-Le-Spring, Sunderland Posts: 288 Thanks: 125 Thanked 28 Times in 28 Posts Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTW/F/M Award(s): 0 | A great guide there John very well wrote out, the graphics look great on here Ru | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to mufckingud7 For This Useful Post: | | 24-06-08, 02:34 PM | #4 (permalink) | | FMF Writer and V.I.P Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Ballycastle,Northern Ireland Posts: 917 Thanks: 214 Thanked 225 Times in 213 Posts Nominated 2 Times in 2 Posts TOTW/F/M Award(s): 0 | Great guide on a great player mate!
