The diminutive ( 163 cm(in the game it says 164, so i'm not quite sure), 55 kg) player made the headlines when coach Diego Simeone gave him his first opportunity against Newell's Old Boys on 18/Nov/2006. Piatti scored the winning goal (2-1 final score) deep into injury time, and became one of the heroes of Estudiantes' championship-winning team. Piatti made the starting eleven in the 2007 Clausura tournament, occupying the left midfield, in tandem with José Luis Calderón, complementing fellow midfielders Juan Sebastián Verón and José Ernesto Sosa. Piatti also plays a s a deep lying forward linking midfield and attack and has played in this position for Estudiantes and Argentina. Piatti was part of the Argentina Under-20 squad that won the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup title in Canada. The youngest player in the roster, he played several matches, supporting the forwards from the midfield, mostly on the left side. In-game Piatti wasn't worth the signing when my Arsenal team scouted him, neither did teams such as Liverpool, Chelsea, AC Milan, etc. Mid-table prem teams say he is a good signing or decent, it depends. I was particulary surprised that Piatti chose a championship Q.P.R over teams such as Lazio and Palermo and he has been very impressive At certain times, you can buy him for 95k, 150k, 220k or above and a season later, he'll get the price tag of 3.2 mil pounds. He has a -9 PA, which is very good and I heard he was dubbed to be the next Pirlo IRL. He once got no interest from upper-class teams, but 2nd season onwards, he attracts teams like (the complete list of teams hunting for piatti in my Man City's 2nd season where I bought Piatti) Arsenal, Bolton, Chelsea, Everton, Newcastle, Roma and Fiorentina. At the beginning, he won't do much impact, but I still play him in all my squad as AMC (be it arsenal, man city, bristol rovers, etc) and on the 2nd half of the season, he could sometimes grab me equalizers and winners and nowadays, assists. He is also very famous FM-wise and has been known by many FM players I know and also to some people who has seen the real him In-game Stats Again, I don't know how to make big images, ah well, typing them again I guess Old Stats TECHNICAL Corners - 13 Crossing - 13 Dribbling - 14 Finishing - 12 First Touch - 13 Free Kicks - 12 Heading - 9 Long Shots - 12 Long Throws - 2 Marking - 6 Passing - 14 Penalty Taking - 14 Tackling - 5 Technique - 14 2nd Season From here, stats in bold shows his strength, stats in italic are his weaknesses, stats in both bold and italic is a strength that can be further developed and stats underlined makes him great Corners - 13 Crossing - 14 Dribbling - 15 Finishing - 13 First Touch - 14 Free Kicks - 12 Heading - 9 Long Shots - 13 Long Throws - 2 Marking - 5 Passing - 15 Penalty Taking - 14 Tackling - 5 Technique - 15 Marking went down because of my training, his growth also depends on the type of training he gets. I'm getting tired of typing, can someone help me to point out how to resize pictures so that it's easy to see? Piatti's mental attributes aren't much to talk about, but I will write on what has improved and his mentality stats aren't that good at the beginning Aggresion - 9, Anticipation - 12 + 1, Bravery 15, Composure - 11 + 2, Creativity- 14 + 1, Decisions - 14 + 1, Determination - 18, Flair - 17, Influence - 3, Off The Ball - 12 + 1, Positioning 2 + 4, Teamwork - 11 + 1, Work Rate - 9 + 1 Excellent physical stats is what you will be expecting of smaller players and Piatti does pretty well in terms of his physique and runs very well Acceleration - 16 + 1, Agility - 16, Balance - 12, Jumping - 9, Natural Fitness - 11, Pace - 16, Stamina - 13 + 1, Strength 5 + 4 He has fine passing, technique and dribbling for a 19-year-old, and he had 14 each when he's 18. His crossing, finishing and long shots can be further developed too. His mentality is not very strong, having only determination and flair that can be called good, his growth in creativity and decisions will make him better in the future, so is his positioning, which have developed well and although still a weakness can still be developed. His Acceleration, agility and pace have obviously shown what kind of player he is. He will gradually develop these 3, although very slowly. He is very reliable as someone used for running, sometimes in the beginning but most of the time after he develops. His growth in strength (his strength training is normal) is considerable and I must say, Piatti is my number one must-buy youth at the beginning of the game, i would preffer piatti to saivet (yes, i'm sure of it), aquino, etc and is because he is very cheap and will also join championship teams, but I'm unsure as to him joining League 1. His weakness can only be found in his aerial abilities, which doesn't matter much since he is such a short player Conclusion Buy him at the start, he's a real bargain, he can make you money, or win you games. He costs 100k pounds at the beginning, bargain a little and at most, you get him for 220k and at the least, probably 95k and his price can go on to 3.2 mil pounds. Keeping him is fairly simple, like what I did to every good player I have, do not respond to transfer speculations, when enquired or bid, negotiate it to 100 mil or at least put an unrealistic price tag for him. So in conclusion Buy him, really, buy him, that is if you can afford him, if you can, buy him, seriously.
