Toni Kroos is a German footballer who plays for Bayern Munich. He has a elder brother, whose name is Felix Kroos, who now plays as a striker for Hansa Rostock.
Kroos first played for local club Greifswalder SC, and then transferred to the youth team of Hansa Rostock. Kroos - who plays as a midfield playmaker - changed to Bayern Munich's youth setup in 2006, and it has been announced that he will be made part of Bayern's first-team for the 2007-08 season, at the young age of 17. Recently Uli Hoeneß has said that in the future Toni will play with the number 10 shirt in the Bayern Munich first team when he has more experience.
In the 2007 FIFA U-17 World Cup, Toni Kroos was awarded the Golden Ball as the tournament's best player and also won the bronze shoe after scoring five goals.
In FM08: In FM08, Kroos is on a youth contract at the start of the game meaning he can be 'stolen' off FC Bayern, however you would have to pay £1.2M compensation. Even at the age of 17, Kroos' stats mean he is a must-have and would walk into most teams. Toni Kroos improves greatly as you progress through the game. When Kroos gets to the age of about 23, he will probably be Germany's first choice centre midfielder. In the spoiler below is Kroos when his stats have improved, as you can see he is world class.
Strengths
A strength of Toni Kroos is his ability at set pieces. Kroos has good attributes at taking corners of freekicks, these attributes along with his very good creaivity attribute means he delivers a good freekick/corner about 95% of the time. Another strength of Kroos is his desire to improve. In almost every savedgame I have Kroos has become world class.
Weaknesses
A weakness of Toni Kroos is the fact that some of his required attributes of being a centre midfielder are quite poor, these attributes include bravery, tackling and strength. However you can make ammends for this by playing him in AMC, he has decent attributess to play AMC including creativity, technique, natural fitness and passing.
Conclusion
To conclude; I believe Toni Kroos to be a very good signing. At the start of the game I believe he is decent, but not premiership quality. However after about 3 or 4 seasons, Kroos will probably be at the required standard to play at premiership level. Therefore if you was to sign him in the first season I would recommend loaning Kroos out for a couple of seasons.
Remember, when Kroos scores you've got to sing "The Kroos, The Kroos, The Kroos Is On Fire!"
