Criscito started his professional career at Genoa, for which made his debut in Serie B in June 2003 at the age of 16. In the summer of 2004 Genoa sold 50% of the rights to Juventus. He played for the youth team of Juve in the following two seasons, winning the Italian youth championship in 2006 and scoring the opening goal in the final match against Fiorentina. In 2006-2007 he went to play for Genoa, this time in the first team, proving himself as one of the best Serie B defenders and earning a place in Italy's Under-21 national team. In January 2007, Juventus bought the remaining 50% of Criscito for a combined price of €7.5 million. He also signed a new contract with Juventus which will last until 2011. In FM08: One of the favourites to get into your side if you can afford him, this youngster attracts major interest very quickly. His stats at the start of the game are very impressive, and they consistently get better through the following couple of seasons. In my game he has just moved from Juventus to Chelsea for £45 million. Strengths: Nearly everything you would hope for from a DC. His tackling (16), marking (18), Heading (15) Anticipation (18) Bravery (16) coupled with low aggression (9) mean he is a massive rock at the back, who gets booked very little. To be fair his penalty taking and determination (17) on both are impressive stats too, as his his creativity, pace and acceleration all at 13! Weaknesses: Well he is no flair player, but you wouldn't want him to be anyway. His shooting isnt up to much either but I would think if you applied him to James M's corner trick tactic he would probably score loads. Dribbling and finishing aren't his strongpoints, however he wouldn't be in your side to do either. In action+against future team mate, Del Piero In Conclusion: As my Assistant manager said to me : Sign at any cost. Get him early in the game if you are lucky, and you have a real gem of a player on your books. Why are you still reading this??? Go get him!!!! If you wish to use this guide elsewhere please PM me with your intentions, as long as it is related back to FMF, I will probably agree. I bought him for Newcastle before and he developed into one of the greatest players I have seen on FM. Fantastic player. Like Harty said, what the hell are you waiting for? Oh yeah and great guide again. | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to liveru For This Useful Post: | | 08-05-08, 02:42 PM | #3 (permalink) | | Co-founder of the cult Ruism Join Date: Jan 2007 Location: Dundalk, Ireland Posts: 2,354 Thanks: 194 Thanked 309 Times in 249 Posts | good stuff harty, never actually tried this guy before so i dont know a whole lot about him.
