Value: Free but you have to pay £275,000 as compensation. Contract: £400 p/w, Squad Rotation. Age: 17. Nationality: Poland. Languages: Polish, Spanish (Basic). Reputation: Regional. Personality: Determined, but can come under pressure. Squad Status: Squad Rotation. In Football Manager '08 Piotr Czaplisnki is a Polish Under 17s goalkeeper, and is highly under-rated by his original club Jagiellonia. His reflexes are right up there with the top goalkeepers around Europe, and maybe even in the world. In one on one situations, Czaplinski is always the favourite to win the ball, and he usually makes even the best of finishers look Amateurish. He's also a very good penalty stopper, he almost always saves them. He's an extremely useful keeper to have when a penalty shoot-out looms large. Piotr Czaplinski has the potential to be a world-class goalkeeper if used properly. He's only 17 at the start of the game, and by the time he reaches 20, he's usually a beast of a goalkeeper. He may even become world-class by the age of 22 but that's only if he gets 2 seasons at least of first-team football. Piotr Czaplinski is not a player who complains and whines when you don't play him, he's usually happy enough to be a no.2. Though I advice people to play his regularly. He may want money if he goes to a lower division club though, because he isn't always sure the club will survive in the division. He's a very down to earth person and he doesn't let pressure get to his head, usually and will almost always be happy if you rightly praise him. He's a very determined lad, too. Tactical Instructions Not much but he likes to be encouraged. He will have a blinder for you if you can motivate him. It's amazing how a few words of encouragement can up his game to a whole new level. He's unbeatable on his day. Strengths He's a very good shot-stopper. He has an incredible rating for his reflexes and his one on one skill makes him a stand out for one so young. He's also a very good penalty stopper so I'd advice you to play him in penalty shoot-outs. He's amazingly determined and focused as well. Weakness's He can come under pressure if he makes an error. He doesn't usually but if one escapes him, he'll come under intense scrutiny and may tend to mess up. Also if you are a club in one of the lower divisions, he may ask for an important part in your team and may demand high wages. Conclusion So I honestly believe he'll be a very, very useful signing for any club. If you are a top club and aiming for Europe, then I'd advice you to use his as an understudy to your no.1 keeper but if you're battling relegation or are a low league club, you'll be amazed at how Piotr Czaplinski will keep you in matches single-handedly and may even turn out to be your player of the season. More to come I hope! :) I have a signed a contract with Piotr and he will join my Nottm.F side at the start of next season where we will prob'ly try to keep a respectable league position at Championship if not push our way for promotion. I have had doubts about the contribution of such a young keeper but thanks to your guide, I now know that I don't need to look for another keeper anymore. So thanks a lot! | | | | | 04-05-08, 12:12 AM | #9 (permalink) | | Scout For FMF's DB Update Join Date: May 2007 Location: Scotland Not Britain Posts: 571 Thanks: 33 Thanked 112 Times in 102 Posts Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTW/F/M Award(s): 0 | great guide fedddo may i ask how do you do it lol kiu | | | | 27-06-08, 11:51 AM | #10 (permalink) | | What Fed can do with a grape, I can't do with a beach ball! If he's as good as you say he is Fed, then he'd be a great replacement for Given in the future.
