It is summer again and because there are already some other sites bringing you database updates we wanted to inform you about FMFormation's Database Update. After making probably the most populair database update for FM06 we just had to continue and make one for FM07. In our opinion, this database update will be even better than the one we made for FM06.
Because the first version of this summer's db update won't be released for a couple of weeks we wanted to give you guys a sneak preview and let you know we are working our asses off to make FMFormation's Database Update the most uptodate database update in the scene.
Our scouting crew (which contains 30 FM fanatics) has worked very hard in the past couple of months to make sure the leagues of the country they were scouting for are being kept as uptodate as possible. We are talking about in-dept research for England, Holland, Belgium, France, Italy, Portugal, Australia, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and more. Besides that we are checking daily on tens of newssites trying to find all the latest transfers that have took place worldwide. Our Donators Group (over 70 FMF lovers), who have access to our beta versions (which are released about twice a week for the past months), are thrilled with how the database update is looking and have only been positive about it. Soon it will be time to release the first public summer database update and we can only hope you guys will also love it.
Besides keeping it uptodate with all the latest transfers, contracts, released players, manager moves etc. etc., we're also trying to add the latest talents who aren't yet in the game. At this moment we've created more than 700 new players. The country with the far most created players is Japan. Because the Japanese league isn't in the game, the clubs don't have any players. For us this is unacceptable and that's why we decided to create a lot of them with full detail. At this moment we've almost created 200 Japanese players but when we release the first public version we're hoping we've reached the 300-350. In total we will probably create over 1,000 new players.
Another thing that we aren't forgetting is European Qualifiers and Promotion/Relegation. The European Qualifiers
AND Co-Efficients are already uptodate and we've also done a lot of promotion/relegation for European countries. Besides that we also update league postions of 06/07 and update Competition and Cup history so that the Super Cups are being played by the correct teams. We will do our best to make every playable league in FM as uptodate as possible but sometimes it's very hard to find out the right details. If you live in a foreign country you can always reply in here if you would like to become a scout for us and make sure your country is updated!
The final aspect of the sneak preview that we would like to share with you guys is that
we've removed the points deduction of certain teams like Milan, Fiorentina, Lazio and many more. Four scouts (including myself) have tested it carefully and as far as we know the game plays like it normally does and most importantly, it doesn't crash. I myself made it to October 2007 in my game without any crash or weird looking things.
To see an example of a league standing at the end of season 06/07 with AC Milan and Fiorentina without points deducted please check the screenshot below:
I bet other database update creators will have seen this screenshot will also try to fix it now... just don't forget who did it first hehe.
Anyway, that's basicly it. If you have any questions regarding FMFormation's Database Update be free to ask them. If you can't wait a couple more weeks you always have the option to become a Donator (and reward us for our hard work) but that's your choice. If you know some transfers and some things that you really want to see in our db update please reply in here. It's best to verify if changes have been made than complain afterwards that they aren't in it. As for becoming a scout... for the bigger countries we are only looking for someone from Spain or Italy (mostly Spain tho). Otherwise it's smaller competitions like the ones in Switzerland, Austria, Rusland, Servia etc. etc. Scouts outside Europe are also welcome (Brazil, Argentina, USA etc. etc.).
Let us know what you think of the upcoming FMFormation's Database Update by replying to this newstopic. Thanks in advance!
