Yeah I saw it m8, it was really late but I'm sorry to say these kinda tackles and worse are ongoing on a nearly weekly basis in the prem...they all need 'stamping' out  |

The worry for the gunners is now will he become a multi-crock like djibril cisse, and how bad will it affect his ability and confidence? Im no arsenal fan, but I like Eduardo. Lets hope he comes back stronger for it. And hopefully action taken against taylor, maybe if the FA instigated an automatic 5 match ban for that it would make the stupid players who committ this sort of challenge think about it, Like New Anfield said, Carvalho seems to do it on a regular basis. |

Alan Amith's was possibly as bad, although that was the infamous free kick from JAR...the only people at fault that day were the mindless/idiotic minority of l'pool fans who allegedly attacked the ambulance that was taking him to hospital.. *Thugs*  |

I totally agree with Fed.
It's coz other players like Gallas, Senderos, Van Persie etc didn't step up to the plate when the going got tough.
They either didn't perform or went off and cried. |

Ru how can you possibly say that. Eduardo would have very possibly won the League for them. Lets look at Liverpool, If this happened to Torres, Liverpool would have easily been 6th, 7th. Eduardo was on fire and banging in the goals just like Torres, same thing would have happened to Liverpool.
And i dont see why Harty thought a five match ban should have been placed on Taylor, you see challenges with more intent every single week, with yellow cards shown. Just this one incident he was very unfortunate to get him late, as Dean said, when he Eduardo took the extra touch on the ball. |

How am i arguing with you about Liverpool :| You said other players didnt step up to the mark for Arsenal, And i said they didnt step up to the mark for Liverpool. And Torres picked the whole team up and practically got them 4th himself, and eduardo probably done that with Arsenal.
You dont have to be threatened everytime i critisise your prescious Liverpool. |

Id like to make what I feel is a valid point to my argument Aaron.
If you actually read my post I said Taylor shoud've been given a five match ban as an example to various other players who seem to think it is ok to play that aggressively and go in with career threatening challenges.
An automatic ban and a heavy fine may mean these players on the pitch think twice about diving in and causing crippling injuries. If like myself, you have been targetted on the pitch because you are actually a better player than the thug you are playing against, you would know what im talking about.
Most people who have also been on the end of this sort of thing would agree. |

Most people who have also been on the end of this sort of thing would agree. | I agree here, myself i was a victim of horrific challenge 4 years ago, now every hard tackle on my right knee im out injured for 3/4 weeks. players specifically target my right knee as the know im better than them and want to take me out :@ but this eduardo challenge was a one off, and wasnt done on purposs, unlike that Keane Horror tackle a few years back. |

I think that the challenge was dangerously late but no malicious intent. As for Eduardo playing again, as a rival fan I wish him luck and I think he will. The worst injury I have seen was David Busst and he would have continued his career had it not been for an infection during the op. |

Strength and depth of squads are what win you titles. One player can make a difference (Ronaldo) but injuries can happen at any time, tackles or training...the best squads have replacements good enough to keep the momentum going.
Eduardo will be back I'm sure but the loss of Fabregas or Adebayour would have hurt them more in my opinion. | | | | | | | |
