Finance is an important factor in FM. The lower the finance, the harder it is for you, as a manager, to sign players, staff, and just to keep the club running. Introduction First of all, go on to Manager - (Club) - Finance - Summary. You should be on a screen something like this.... Heres my understanding on the finance screen. Transfer Budget (Season) = How much money you get to spend this season Transfer Budget Remaining = How much money you still got after buying players Transfer Revenue = Income (in percentage) recieved from transfers Sponsors: Amount of money recieved from sponsors Loan Outstanding: I don't know but it hasn't affected me so there's not much about it Turnover: How much money you earn Expenditure: How much money is used Net Transfer: How much you earn from transfers EG. Buy a player for 40mil, Sell A Player for 30mil, Net Transfer is -10mil. Total Wage Cost: How much money you use on wage Profit: Amount you gain or loss since a period of time. EG. January u had 100k, February you had 200k, the profit is 100k Balance: How much money your club currently has Transfers plays a big roll in finance, particularly if you have a sell on clause. From my experiences, the factors that increases your finance is the following: - Gate receipts, the more people who watch the matches played, the more money you get. It only applies in home games, including friendlies and also in finals like playing in Wembley
- Season Tickets, the more people who buy it, the more money you get.
- TV rights - You get paid and sometimes they broadcast your match, increasing finance.
- Merchandising, the more popular your club is, the more stuff you can sell.
- Players Sold, add on clauses
- Prize money from winning cup games
- Investments, people investing, only applies to clubs recieving a takeover.
- Interest
- Sponsorship
- Match Day Incomes
- Grants, Fundraising
- Wage Below limits
- Parent clubs
Factors that loses money: - Buying players
- Going in debt
- Upgrading factilies, stadium
- Unpopular club means less people watching
- Wage above limit
- Away games
- Ground maintence
- Fines
- Taxes
- Contracts
For lower league clubs, keeping your finance above negative is virtually difficult and pretty much impossible, When I was managing Eastleigh, they were in -100k before I got it back to the positives due to little interest in Blue Square South football. Consider you financial position before upgrading stadium or training facilities. Guide still needs filling in. Any member filling in the gaps will have their names mentioned in this guide.
