    Default Arsenal 6-1 Everton

Is it just me but I'm flabbergasted, Everton played the worst Iv'e seen them in 3 years, and Arsenal played great! Bendter playes superb, same with Vermalean, Fabregas,Van Persie and Denilson, every single player contributed to the high scoring game.

And I and other people thought Arsenal were going to be weaker this season, but with Walcott, Van Persie, Bendter,Nasri,Arshavin,Sagna and Clichy, they can really mount a serious title challenge. Or maybe it was pure luck, what do you think?

Thanks heaps Angel-SVK for the sig!

Hooray for that thrashing! Haha sorry Everton fans.. Well I think its still too early to come to any conclusion, but I think they will still need one or two signings to further bolster the team since its a long season and we are bound to get hit by injuries to key players as the season goes.. The first team is doing pretty well but I am not sure if we can perform against even bigger teams, but the main concern is still depth i guess. Hope Wenger doesnt get overwhelmed by this victory and be misled into thinking that no more additions would be required!

Yeah was an insanely good performance, everyone played fantastic Was very impressed with Vermaelen. To say it was his first ever match in this league, he was so composed, it looked like he had been in this league for years and years before that match, deserved his goal too, top man!

Fabregas, just wow that run from the half way line, brilliant stuff, I'm liking the freedom he's got to go forward and score goals with this new tactic Arsene has produced, it looks promising to say the least.

Song was one of the best players on the pitch for us. He's followed up his brilliant form of the end of last season and he's looking a very good player. He carries on like this and he'll be in that midfield, no doubts.

And what about Denilson's goal! A goal of the season contender already. Stunning strike.

Yeah, Everton were piss poor, just wasn't like Everton judging by the solidness last season, they could blame it on the Lescott saga, but he wasn't the only defender who had a nightmare, all 4 of them did. Regardless of their performance, we deserved that high scoreline, was really nice to see!!

Think you need to get rid of that Ade sig mate, we won't miss him at all

Coming from a Yid, this is going to be hard to say, but even though i've ripped the piss out of my goon mates for selling Toure and Adebayor, i've always said they'll spring a surprise on us this season. Much like they did when Henry left, everyone said they were finished and until bottling it in the last month or so, should've won the title. This season i think they'll do it, i really, really, really hope i'm wrong.

Coming from a pensioners fanatic, i think it safe to say, and have been thinking it for at least the past two seasons, that Wenger has been brewing a real storm of a team, bringing in players that aint afraid to jump into each others spaces, RVP and Eduardo either of them could replicate what adebayor did, with utter ease, they have much better qualitys then the man who had a lucky haircut.

its the same story with the nasri injury, rosicky wont flinch an inch at taking his place

Its just one game, great result but remember its one game. Did'nt Arsenal do this once or twice last season and look were they finished. They wont get anywere if they are not consistent this season which was the problem last year. I do feel they need some more experienced heads in that squad just to balance it out a bit. I would'nt be getting carried away just yet as theres only one game down and another 37 to go. Good win all the sae i was very impressed by them.

Being a Gooner I was very impressed by every player in an Arsenal shirt that night but I think a lot of you are forgetting how inconsistent Arsenal can be in the league. We still need to bring in some experience into what I would call a very weak central midfield as I don't believe Denilson and Song are consistant enough to keep thier position. Arsenal can perform brilliantly on their day and I don't think anyone can deny but I don't think we be able to play like that away from home on a regular basis. I still feel Arsenal can get into that 3rd place but any higher than that I will be pleasantly surprised. Although one good point is this new tactic that Arsene has introduced, does look very tidy and I'm very impressed with Vermaelen, he's looking like he's been playing in England for years.
