Hey guys.... My laptop screen got smashed a few days ago and I have just bought a new one. just find the save game location on your laptop mydocs/sportsinteractive/footballmanager08/games (i think its games anyway) then copy the file and paste it onto your memory stick. Then what you have to do is paste the file back into the location i told you earlier on your new laptop and that should be it
then just start up fm as normal and go to load game and it should be in there all going well :D

Ok m8.. I put the folder onto my memory stick and then put the game into my saved game folder. I then started FM and loaded the saved game. It starts to load but then says Football Manager has stopped working and returns to windows.. That should have worked John.
That's exactly what I done when I got my new PC and it worked fine. The only thing I can think of is it may be different for a laptop. |

shouldnt be different for laptop i do it all time between my laptop and pc
the only thing i can think of is are you using the same patch as was you using like 8.0.2 but now havnt updated the new laptop so thats still on 8.0.0 and maybe its conflicting |

yeah mate this happend to me aswell , few weeks ago , all you haver to do is copy/paste the game file and send it via msn , yahoo wtva .
when that is completed just copy the icon to fm08 folders and finally drag it into the game section.
