Has anyone got any advice on what changes to tactics are needed for different weather conditions? I know it might not make that much difference but I remember reading somewhere that tempo in hot weather needs changing and passing style in heavy rain needs adjusting too? | Thanks to Liveru for the sig My Current Games Brighton & Hove Albion - Coca Cola League 1 Fluminense - Brazillian National 1st Division | | | 11-07-08, 02:07 PM | #2 (permalink) | | FMF Moderator Join Date: Jan 2007 Location: Dundalk, Ireland Posts: 2,711 Thanks: 203 Thanked 408 Times in 335 Posts Nominated 1 Time in 1 Post TOTW/F/M Award(s): 0 | slowing the tempo down in hot weather usually helps as players wont tire out as quickly. In wet weather i usually go for the old long ball up to the target man, as the ball may get bogged down if your playing the short passing style | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to John10 For This Useful Post: | | 11-07-08, 03:33 PM | #3 (permalink) | | FMF's Toon Army Spiderman and member of the Writers Crew Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: wiltshire Posts: 2,491 Thanks: 309 Thanked 635 Times in 607 Posts Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTW/F/M Award(s): 0 | Also the snowy/icy pitches make the ball skid so playing long ball then wont work you need to keep it short simple and on the ground. | Signature-Care of Ru Top FMF GFX Artist Current game Tottenham Hotspur 2007- Follow it here! | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to Hartynips For This Useful Post: | | 11-07-08, 04:57 PM | #4 (permalink) | | Scout For FMF's DB Update Join Date: Jun 2007 Location: Mississauga, near Toronto Posts: 2,081 Thanks: 351 Thanked 311 Times in 253 Posts Nominated 17 Times in 3 Posts TOTW/F/M Award(s): 1 | wet surfaces means play a direct game as said before, dry means a short passing game icy means a slippery ball but its like wet so its better to play direct imo | Thanks to Spanish for the userbars :) If you would like me to make you a sig, click on mine! | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to apthered For This Useful Post: | | 12-07-08, 01:52 PM | #5 (permalink) | | Backup To The First Team Join Date: May 2008 Posts: 129 Thanks: 9 Thanked 1 Time in 1 Post Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTW/F/M Award(s): 0 | I was just about to make a thread , thanks anways some good tips there. | | | | | 12-07-08, 03:40 PM | #6 (permalink) | | What Fed can do with a grape, I can't do with a beach ball! I cant believe you'd play a long ball on icy pitches Ap, how many long balls have you chased only to watch them skid stupidly or gain acceleration for no reason!!!! One thing I never knew or thought to ask though...does weather have an impact on player injuries in FM08? | Signature-Care of Ru Top FMF GFX Artist Current game Tottenham Hotspur 2007- Follow it here! | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to Hartynips For This Useful Post: | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
