I think Clattenburg's a top ref, especially in real life.
The worst ref in real life aswell is Uriah Rennie, he went from the Premiership to the Championship, down to League 2, then somehow found himself back in the Premiership, then back in league 2.
And even when he was a fourth official in the prem he made a bad decision, sending someone (i cant remember who) off. |

John Underhill IMO is a crap referee in FM! |
To think that people can go out with hatred in their heart and take away people's sons or brothers or fathers is just beyond belief. That's the way I think about it now: it's only a game. 'Educate the kids to integrate with one another and not pay any attention to who's a Catholic and who's a Protestant, and any of that rubbish. 'Just go out there, support your team, make good friends and get on with your lives.

although, i met a referee that gives me 2 red cards, and one of my player tackled badly (and the referee didn't show a card)... i forgot who was that referee... |

Gotta agree with Underhill. Just as underwhelming in the game as he is in actuality. Just checked his Wiki page, pretty good bit here: Awards - 1992 Received the President's award of the Geological Society of London

Couldn't be more accurate. And Clattenburg has taken away three goals in Champions League play from me in the past two years. His representation in the game is the same as his actual abilities: absolute sh*t. |

I don't really pay attention to the which ref I have. As I know I would only worry if he made a mistake in one game and then I had him again.
I expect Rennie to make a few though :D |

And even when he was a fourth official in the prem he made a bad decision, sending someone (i cant remember who) off. | I know he might be from Sheffield and all that and I should defend him, although he might not be the worst referee on FM in my experience, he makes mistakes at the top level which people notice more. For me its a guy called Andy (no quite sure)ski who's a ref in the lower leagues and he always scruws me over. He scruwed me in the league, in the FA cup against Carlisle and loads of other matches. So many mistakes and after every match he refs in, I always have to answer the press the next day about his shit refereeing. |
