Default Please help me

Hi there.

I haven't really got into the PC management sim since the days of Champ Man 01-02 etc. I thought I would give FM a go but must say I havent really had much success to date.

I have played a couple of games as my beloved Everton but haven't enjoyed much joy. The 1st game I started as the Toffees I got to Xmas before being axed, sitting 13th in the table.

I restarted and to date sit 11th in the table with a month remaining. The squad does contain good quality players in truth but as much as I tweak the formation or try downloadable formations I just do not seem to be able to get success.

For an inexperienced player would you recommend starting as a lower league team or just keeping trying with the formation tweaking?

Advice would be appreciated :)

Personaly I think you should stay in Everton. For me it's easier to play with stronger clubs: you have good players and you have enough money to bring new players. But it's a good feeling when you go slowly with some team from the lower league, then you get promoted to the first, next step you win the trophie, who knows? :)

You know the number. You know the name. Terry.John Terry #26.

I am Everton fan so really want to get it right with my boys. In the past there was nothing better than success with Everton, suppose I'll jsut need to find the right set up.

Try this:

FMFormation.net - Football Manager - FM2008 - Downloads - Man Utd/Spurs EPL Tactic

Pay attention to the tactics side of things.

Get your scout to check "Next Opposition.

Pay attention to training.

This formula has kept me in the Top 3 for 5 seasons. I have won the UEFA Cup. Reached the Champions League Semis twice.

I would have won the EPL had it not been for a very very strong Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd side.

Man Utd now slipping as Alex Ferguson has left.
