LMAO Mirja, How do you know that we don't live in some sort of Matrix-style Fergie world? Exactly where does he nearly always get his 9 allocated minutes of injury time from? Why do opposing teams never get penalties awarded at old trafford??? I want to see more from the manager interaction side in the next game. I really really want to be able to wind up an opposing manager, to the point where he has a nervous breakdown, and can't face playing me!

I want to be able to talk to referee's and assistants and have players get banned for slaps and comments or appeal decisions.

hahaha,nice idea!perhaps you should also be able to send him threatning letters so that he's afraid to come to the stadium
the rules section should be improved.qualification to and from playoffs should be described as well,coz in some leagues this information is missing and i'm going mad to figure it out...
and the real-time tactics idea sounds really good.i think it must be included in the next edition.it would be very helpful.

I think the FMF management should send Si a copy of this thread, there are some cracking ideas in it, and would make the games so much more realistic and fun.

I agree with you Harty, there are some awesome thoughts here.

Another thing I was thinking about is that you should be able to make moves for your set pieces, so have people running in different directions to confuse defenders. I think that you should be able to get involved more as a coach as well, make people work harder

not just that schmidy, maybe you could have like a set play for breaking moves, ie counter attacking after a corner or opposition attack breaks down, basically I mean like Utd do when they counter attack, they always have the same four players that seem to come flying out at the opposition.

You could have like arrows pointing the players to go where you want to on breaks and specify things like passing it short, long or one touch.

1. better referee... Sometimes I felt that the referee use a sandwatch on his wrist so he doesn't know the precise time...


2. 3D graphic of any improvement from the current match graphics so that I could see the detail if there is a foul. Sometimes i don't know what to say to media if there's any controversial penalty. My player doesn't have any legs and hands...

havent read the recent additions to the thread but having suffered this in my game at arsenal i'd like to see a change in this part....

the board says minimum of semi final in the Champs league or fa cup or whatever but say you end up losing to barcelona on penalties in the first knockout stage they stil get really p!ssed with you for not making the semi's. I'd like the board to be more understanding so to speak of the situation. it's not always black and white. Maybe give you a break for playing with several injuries and losing to a messi wonder goal or something instead of getting on your back for being unlucky etc.

I like all of JoeFriars suggestions.

I think we need more interaction with players etc, like they suggest a rest if they're tired.

More coaching feedback would be good. If a young player is ready to be involved in the 1st team a cocah could suggest you involving him with the team.

Also setting match ticket prices, merchandise prices.

If you want to sign a player but dont have enough money, you should be able to persuade the board to let you sign him, because he is going to a massive signing for the club

i think it would be cool if you could choose where you have a feeder club. also the ability to invest money in that team to improve their youth academy could be cool. also being able to select the ammount of time a player spends on loan at the club would be pretty awesome, coz i get very confused with work permits etc.

Better interaction between the manager(player) with the board, media and the player.
full control of the financial, just like set the ticket price and the merchandise.
the manager can ask the team to hold a meeting.
team talk, not only choose the team talk but also say what we want.

I agree with the player manager interaction.
I don't know about the Financial issue because how much control do the Managers really have over the finances?
How do you get the players to understand what you are saying if you type a message to them because SI have fixed saying for Motivation and things like that with the team talks

i hope in FM09 we can to pick any feeder or parent club which in FM08 the board will chose for us and we only can pick or make recommended by any team that have been chose by board..

I think SI should fix something up like say when your player gets sent off or a controversy, you cant really tell if its a foul so if you complain you might get warned! I think we should be able to hire laywers to go to court or something or like have agents in games? except that would be even more annoying!

i want more realistic in term of financial of club..my friend used to ask about investment in financial but we cannot do anything instead of looking of some sort of number there..

How bout Player/Trainer-Agent's who are loaded with theyre names and stats, wich allowes you to build a network offering you oppertunity's to buy unknown talents, aswell as an situation like going on at PSV Eindhoven ATM where a Director and a Agent have clashed, forcing several players wich are represented by the Agent to look for another club...!

I agree with philikins0. Giving your recommendation on what specific feeder club you would like is a must have for in FM09.

Another thing that should be in FM09 (in my opinion) is the ability to control a B-team and a B-team only. Same goes for International teams, U21 and teams like that. This would create the perfect challenge and it is much more realistic. You can get the opportunity to start out as the manager of a reserves squad and work your way up.

That's a really good idea Bozza. I can't see why they can't do that as they're already half the way there because when you are in control of an international team, you can offer the job of under-21 etc to another human player. So I can't see why they wouldn't be able to add a feature where the CPU can offer you those type of jobs themselves.
