Is anyone frustrated by the time it takes to process the game??

I have ONLY selected Italy (serie A only) and England (premier league only) as the active playable leagues and a small database, yet still have to wait painstakingly for the game to process between days!!!

Any help to dramatically speed up the game???

I have a feeling that the game is loading all leagues and players, as even the most obscure nations such ie Australia (Melbourne Victory) have all actual players visible etc etc. when in previous versions of FM these league's (unless selecting them from the "load all players from" menu ie Australia tag) were unavailable.

Problems could be:

Are you using the 8.01 beta patch? If so, it has not been optimized fully yet. The full patch will be.

Check the details option, the game might be saving results you're not intresd in.

What are your PC sepecs? Does your machine meet the reccommended stuff?

Background programms. Do you have things running at the same time?

When was the last time you cleaned your hard drive? Remove programms that are not used, and defag your drive regularly

Thanks Mate!!!

I re-installed the game (so no Patch), ill check the detail options.
I run off a laptop, Dual Core, 1.83GHz, with 1GB RAM, i defagd last week, maybe i need to remove more programs although i still have around 15GB free space on the drive that runs FM (with another 20GB on a split drive). Maybe the final patch will be all smooth sailing!!

The funny thing is any Quickstart is lightning!!! Has anyone developed a quickstart with two active leagues?? That would be tops!!

i always make sure nothing else is running and my bit torrent is turned off and my anti virus has done its start up check ive noticed the difference in game speeds much more efficient just running Fm (ok maybe i do have fmf open the odd occassion :)
