Default German Bundesliga guide

German Bundesliga guide

The German Bundesliga 1 has (as most people know), been dominated by Bayern in recent years, with only Schalke, HSV and Werder anywhere near pushing them all the way. Until last year that was. Stuttgart didn't appear to read the script which would have seen Bayern win the league for the 10,00th time, and decided to win it themselves. In fact, Schalke and Werder also were very rude to Bayern, as they finished 2nd and 3rd, leaving Bayern in 4th place!
So, Bayern being Bayern, splashed the cash and have strengthened massivly, in fact, the whole league did spending a total of 203.990.000 Euros!

So for the 07/08 season Germany have Stuttgart, Schalke and Werder n the Champions League.
Bayern, Nurnberg and Leverkusen in the UEFA cup, and HSV in the Inter-Toto cup.
There is a reasonable amount of money avalible for transfer at all clubs, none have massivly weak areas, but strengthening is required, especially if you want to mount a good European campaign.
In Germany, many clubs have a B team instead of a reserve team. These teams are great for giving youngsters experience, as they will be playing competative football (you need to load all leagues in Germany for best results.)

European qualification is as follows:
1st-3rd: Champions League
4th & 5th: UEFA Cup
6th: Inter-Toto Cup
National Cup Winner: UEFA Cup

3 teams are relegated into the Bundesliga 2. You will notice when you are selecting how many German leagues you want to load, that there is an option that says Bundesliga 3. And yet it doesn't appear on your game. This is because it will be created before the start of the 08/09 season (IRL and in game). I will go into more detail in the German Regional Guide.

Germany possess an excellent youth structure, and has many wonderkids just waiting to be unleased (see youngsters from germany thread):
Youngsters from Germany

Overall, the Bundesliga is pretty competative and a good challenge (try breaking the big 5). you have good money to spend, and can attract almost anyone. Youth and training structures are good, and hugh stadiums to boost income.
I personally love this league. I hope if you try, you'll enjoy it as much as I do.

Viel Glück!

I like the bundesliga a lot, especially on FM, mostly cause I just love Bayern and HSV. Cant wait to play it soon.
