Hey... I have a dump crash error what is that about? how can i fix it?

yeah, I had the same problem. It happens on the 1St Jan 08.Ive loaded the game several times and it keeps happening at the same moment. So I checked the SI forums and Sousi ones too. Main reply was reinstall etc. biggest thing tho..on the SI forums it seems that if it keeps happining its your system and not the game. this coming from the forum of a game that has 58 pages on bugs for FM 2008. I will un/re install and let you know.

 Complete uninstall and re-install - including deleting all the entries in the registration database (Windows) my cleaner could find. But... It didn't help much. All I can do now is to save after every match - hoping to get through a full match, that is! Hoping to see a 8.0.2 path very soon! I have the same problems lads but i have had this in 2 games now. After i got the message the first time I just started again with another team but it still happens. I dont know if it's cos i have a copy of the game or what?
Is this only happening to people with copies or is it happening in the real thing too?

guys usually it makes a backup file for you at the last save game, there isnt a way to fix it, just put autosave to every week, sure its time consuming, but its easier
freekernow it does happen on new years day (for me it was 09), but usually it fixes itself atleast till the next year
it shouldnt matter if its a copy of the game or not barrywpg
hopefully they do fix this in 8.0.2, it is too common of an occrence to be left unfixed |

This happens to me every time - I think I need more RAM though, as it usually happens during processing. I need a new hard drive too, mine has a few too many errors/corruptions. |

really was there any point in those last 2 posts guys??
anyway i done this when i got crash dumps and it worked for me.....
when you get a crash dump, remember the date that the dump happened. then just delete the crash dumps folder in: my documents/SI/FM08 then reload your save game in FM once you have re-started FM, then just save FM before the date of the crash dump and hopefully the problem should be fixed.
it may not work for everyone but it worked for me a few times! |
