Not sure if this is the correct place, but I'll give it a go..
I installed all of the Premier League kits, and they work fine. Villa's black 3rd kit was not included, though. So I created it myself and placed it in the same folder as the other Premier League kits. On the data editor I made sure I added a third kit, to let them game know Villa have 3 kits. I went into preferences and di the usual to update any changes made, but the thid kit still shows up as plain black rather than the one I created. Is there a certain way I should go about adding this extra kit? Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks, Kurt. | Im not a graphics or FM expert but I presume you will have to name it something really silly with loads of numbers and then edit the config file  But im sure someone will know more than me, And ill investigate further and try and help you aswell. |

You have to start a new game first of all, and it doesnt work as far as Im concerned.
It worked in previous FMs but for some reason this year they stay the same, teams like Birmingham, Tottenham and Wigan, even if you have the kits in the folder, and the config right. |

Could you guys help me please?
Every time I start a new game with 3 leagues/countries or more my screen freezes in the middle of installation and I have to reboot my pc. Is there a way I can fix this?
I have an Athlon XP 1.8 with 512 DDR400 RAM and a 250GB Hard disk Sata I.
Sorry aboout my english, I looked everywhere for a help and nobody can answer me. Maybe here you can help me.

nah mate this seems to happen alot of people, if you are just getting a white screen leave fm for about 10mins to load a new game and it should be okay. Happens me a lot and thats what i do |

That's what I said. My mouse does not move, not even if I CTRL+ALT+DEL on the keyboard. Sometimes I can only load 1 or 2 leagues and that's ok. I'd like to know why this happens when I try to load more than 3 leagues... lack of memory or capacity? Some kind of windows problem, configuration and stuff or is it just a game bug? I assume its just an issue with RAM or virtual memory. What is the RAM on your pc? |

This is an issue with me too I have 1 gb of ram though and it worked a few days a go when i loaded a new game with all of england, singapore and usa with the latest patch and i have tried FMF's database as well. Its really annoying as i want to get another game going.   |

Maybe try reinstalling FM? |

i doubt it is a bug, it is probably about the memory i had 256MB of RAM until not too long ago and I only loaded England - thats it if i loaded any more leagues it would be VERY slow, and it froze many times now i have 768 MB of RAM, and it is much better  a tip, click the recommended setup button while starting a new game, and use only as many leagues as they show you or use a smaller db size good luck |

Unfortuantely I think it's a lack of memory. I'll try to buy more 512mb and I'm sure it's gonna be much better. I've tried to reinstall many times and my computer is ok, so there's nothing but that as a problem (lack of memory). I wish you all a Happy Easter and thanks again.

I bought FM2008 from Play.com and it arrived today and I was really eager to get stuck into it.
The install went as planned but when I try to start the game nothing happens. I have uninstalled and reinstalled seven times tonight and the same problem persists. When I click on FM.exe nothing happens. I have checked Task Manager and FM is not listed.
I am running XP and I tried a solution on SI's site about right clicking fm.exe and changing the compatibility mode to XP but there is no XP option, just 95, 98, ME, NT4 and 2000.
I have run FM05, FM06 an FM07 on this machine in the past year without any trouble.
Can anyone else help me? I've ben told this is a common problem. Ok, I play FM on XP and it worked great first time.
If you've followed the instructions on the SI site and it doesnt work first time, down load the 7.02 patch.
If that doesnt work, send you cd back to play.com and get a refund, and go in town and get fm.
That should sort it! |

I chose a lot a leagues and a huge database. The point was to have more players on the transfer lists. Downside is when you hit the "continue button". It takes ages! Can you reduce the time it takes??? | | | | | | | |
