And Gerrard wants Barry, because he wants to play in the centre with him, in his favourite position | | | | | 04-07-08, 03:50 PM | #22 (permalink) | | Scout For FMF's DB Update Join Date: Jun 2007 Location: Mississauga, near Toronto Posts: 2,081 Thanks: 351 Thanked 311 Times in 253 Posts Nominated 17 Times in 3 Posts TOTW/F/M Award(s): 1 | babel isnt a really wide player, he doesnt stay on the touchline and put the crosses in. he cuts inside, dribbles, passes and shoots. he himself said that he wants to play as a a striker rather than a winger gerrard obviously wants barry because theyre friends...if alonso stays then both of them will be rotated a lot btw what do you guys think of Degen and Dossena signing in the last 2 days? both are on 4 year deals | Thanks to Spanish for the userbars :) If you would like me to make you a sig, click on mine! | | | 04-07-08, 05:42 PM | #23 (permalink) | | What Fed can do with a grape, I can't do with a beach ball! Like Ap says, he cut inside too much and he doesn't hug the touchline. It's a shame really. As for Dossena and Degen. I've not actually seen these two play so I don't know anything about them. I'd never seen Alonso, Agger or Skrtel play and they've turned out to be three brilliant signings. Maybe Rafa's seen the same in them as he did the previous three I just mentioned. | | | | 04-07-08, 06:17 PM | #24 (permalink) | | Scout For FMF's DB Update Join Date: Jun 2007 Location: Mississauga, near Toronto Posts: 2,081 Thanks: 351 Thanked 311 Times in 253 Posts Nominated 17 Times in 3 Posts TOTW/F/M Award(s): 1 | I certainly hope so... | Thanks to Spanish for the userbars :) If you would like me to make you a sig, click on mine! | | | 04-07-08, 07:50 PM | #25 (permalink) | | I'm The FMF Accountant - How Can I Help You? I hope he does well at Pompey if he has gone. He deserves it. | | | | 07-07-08, 03:40 PM | #28 (permalink) | | FMF's Swiss Lover. Daniele Padelli, Abel Xavier, Djimi Traore, Phil Babb, Gabriel Paletta, Bernard Diomède, David Thompson, Bruno Cheyrou, Salif Diao, Sean Dundee and Titi Camara. I think it's a bit unfair putting Pellegrino into that team as he came in and did his job for the short time he was at Anfield. He could've been a lot worse. At least he didn't score decisive own goals ala Traore and Riise. | | | | 08-07-08, 01:52 PM | #31 (permalink) | | FMF's World Football Geek Join Date: Feb 2008 Location: Cotswolds Posts: 1,338 Thanks: 478 Thanked 226 Times in 222 Posts Nominated 6 Times in 1 Post TOTW/F/M Award(s): 0 | Pellegrino was a bit slow...but perhaps I should be kinder as he has just been employed as a coach at the club! Thats a really bad 11 there Ru....lots of bad memories with that lot...Abel Xavier was shocking, Phil Babb lost it overnight.....poor old Palletta, he isn't half bad at Boca now...Sean Dundee took crapness to a new level...who was that other striker, Eric Meyer? The match is "sold out" and I am sure every red travellin down to Prenton Park, to see the boys in action again. And I am sure everybody will be excitied about seeing Phillip Degen and Andrea Dossena who are expected to take part in the game. After an exciting Euro2008, watching Torres, Alonso, Arbeloa and the lively Pepe Reina, lift the trophy, spirits will be high in the dressing room, as we look to get of to a good start. After Tranmere, come FC Lucerne and Wisla Krakow. Followed by the testing challenges of Hertha, Villareal, Rangers, Valerenga and Lazio, before the season fianlly starts Rafa Benitez has already challenged his younger players to step up and show him they are ready. Benitez has many highly rated youngsters, such as Dani Pacheco, Gerard Bruna, Kristian Nemeth, Damien Plessis, Emiliano Insua and newly recruited Nikola Saric as well as many others that have seen the youth team and reserve team to several trophies over the past few seasons. One man that won't be featuring in the friendlies and the new season will be Peter Crouch. Crouch looks ready to join Portsmouth after agreeing personal terms and currrently undergoing a medical. Peter was a great personality, and a great football so will definatly be missed in the dressing room and by the fans. The one thing that Liverpool fans want more than anything this season, is the Premiership Title. Rafael Benitez is obviously trying to bring in some extra quality to the team and the squad to make this happen. On going negotiaitons with Gareth Barry have been taking place for over a month now, and speculation linking Liverpool with Valencia pair, David Silva and David Villa is also returned following successful European Championship campaigns from both of them. Despite the boardroom difficulties and much negativity in the press concerining goings on at Liverpool, on the pitch Benitez will hope it is a trouble free season, and that everything will finally come together for Liverpool on the pitch. I am sure this will be a very exciting season for Liverpool fans. I can't wait! | natural (adj.) Definitions a. Not acquired; inherent. b. Having a particular character by nature. c.
