Default Harry Kewell.

I really feel sorry for Harry Kewell. The poor sod had a couple of good seasons in the red of Liverpool but an injury plagued Reds career has hampered his progression towards being another famous #7.

What do my fellow Redmen think of him and the other football fans on this forum for that matter.

But, this made me laugh from The Liverpool Echo.
Quote:
FOOTBALLERS have a reputation for not being the sharpest tools in the box.

Quite understandably, a few complain about the stereotype, while others simply struggle to understand the metaphor.

But for every bright spark like Phil Neville or Jamie Carragher, there’s a Harry Kewell.

The persistently injured winger actually managed a full 90 minutes for Australia last weekend, as captain no less, then defiantly declared: "I never came here to prove anything to anyone. The only person I really wanted to prove anything to was my old manager (Rafael Benitez), just to show him I can play."

Good thinking, H.

Turn it on against renowned world powers China in a dead rubber on the other side of the world being played on a Sunday morning in the middle of June.

That’ll show Rafa.

After all, you only had three years and 86 first team matches to try and catch the manager’s eye at Anfield.

P.S. The final score in Sydney was Australia 0, China 1.

That showed him, Harry.

I think he's incredibly overrated.

Kewell never showed the determination us Liverpool fans admire. He will forever be remembered for his reluctance to chase a wayward pass in a european tie we were losing.

His crossing was inconsistent and his courage to take players on seemed to desert him the day he joined his more talented team mates.

His exit will do wonders for Liverpool's wage bill and make no difference to the team.

Promise he had, lower league football he has to look forward to. A shame for all concerned.

I don't believe so. I don't even think Roma have even approached him.

So far as I can tell, it's all rumours so far.

sorry but harry would have a awsome player without these injuries, he was awsome for leeds, and when he first joined liverpool he was awsome still, but than the injuries struck wich ruined his career. so would have been a amazing player in my opinion.

Totally agree with Crash, when he was at leeds in the frontline with Viduka and Smithy that was a force to be reckoned with. I genuinely feel very sorry for the guy, but unfortunately thats football.
