Talking of big name players there were rumours way back in 95-96 season that a certain allessandro del pierro was due to fly into the north east to have contract talks with the toon...Never ever happened, was never going to happen and it left a lot of the toon fans gutted. |

And now most recently as last week, somebody decided to link Thierry Henry with a move to Newcastle.
