IMO i think that nationality's should only be managed from a person from that country e.g italy can only be managed by an italian spain can only be managed by a spanish person whats your view on the cappello job? | Current Game: Arsenal (2012/2013) 2007/2008: 3rd In Premiership, League Cup Winner & Champions League Winner 2008/2009:1st In Premiership, World Club Championship Winner & Super Cup Winner 2009/2010: 1st In Premiership, League Cup Winners, FA Cup Winners 2010/2011: 1st In Premiership, Champions League Winner & Community Shield Winner 2011/2012: 1st In Premiership, Super Cup, FA Cup, World Club Championship | | | 15-02-08, 05:19 AM | #2 (permalink) | | Backup To The First Team Join Date: Feb 2008 Location: Stroud, Gloucestershire Posts: 116 Thanks: 34 Thanked 9 Times in 9 Posts | The man has a proven track record, I say give him a chance... I do agree it SHOULD of gone to an english manager but there weren't any decent ones available at the time... Eriksson did well for us, he only lost a handfull of competative games Mclaren... His biggest mistake was putting Walcott in that world cup squad ahead of Defoe. Capello is the right choice because he brings discipline to the side, and heis a proven world class manager, and I think he will do very well for us, and we can make the semi finals of South Africa 2010 if he can get the best out of a lacklustre bunch of players! | My Crazy Season - Click My Sig! I thought up until the penalty England controlled the game but lacked creativity and we did not have any genuine pace. Defensively looked solid in the first half even though Anelka was a real threat. Second half was poor and Anelka gave Lescot a real test. Downing is just a waste of space supposed to be a winger and did not attempt to beat his man on the outside. I know I am biased being a Villa fan but Ashley young has pace, can dribble and cross with either foot can not for the life of me work out why he was cut from the squad. Anelka was by far the best player on the pitch in my opinion. | | | | | 27-03-08, 03:08 PM | #12 (permalink) | | Backup To The First Team Join Date: Mar 2008 Posts: 119 Thanks: 26 Thanked 36 Times in 24 Posts | Cappello is a very good manager, and although he is not English the FA have done well to appoint a manager with a proven track record.Cappello will offer more to the table than the previous England manager's,for one he is not scared of dropping under performing players and picks those who are doing well for there clubs plus he is very good regarding tactics and making wise substitutions.Give the guy a chance he is still working on a new approach which will eventually pay off. Last night performance was good comparing to ex England managers.I thought we controlled the game and deserved to at least draw. The only thing was we were lacking in the final third and we were getting caught when France counter attacked us and our set pieaces were below average. But Cappello will sort this out during training for next game, expect a few players to be replaced for our next game. | Request a Team/League or Player Guide by PM My Team Guides Request A Sig My Fantasy Kit's | | | 26-04-08, 06:40 AM | #13 (permalink) | | Decent Youngster Join Date: Apr 2008 Location: Stamford Bridge Posts: 3 Thanks: 0 Thanked 0 Times in 0 Posts | I think Capello is great manager, wherever he was he won the trophie, so I expect great preformance from England. :) | You know the number.
