 Oscar Carmelo Sanchez - A Tribute
Most of you will not know who he is and I wouldnt either had I not signed him in FM2008.
Oscar Carmelo Sanchez was a Bolivian sweeper who was capped 60 times by the Bolivian national team and played in their 1994 World Cup Campaign.
I was unaware till now of a kidney condition that he had that forced him to retire from professional football. Upon his retirement, he was offered a mangerial position at the Bolivian team The Strongest, where he finished his career. He led his team on an impressive streak but was soon forced to quit that job too because of his health problems. He soon died on November 23, 2007. I am sorry that I didnt know about this unfortunate incident earlier.
He was a great footballer in real life.
