Are you happy with your home nations World Cup Qualifying Groups?

I think Scotland couldn't get any better, drawn in the group with only 5 nations in it. Our only real threat is Holland and I think we could beat them!

i gotta say our group is'nt to bad. We got teams like georgia, san marino, cyprus to. The hard bit will be the Italians though.

All we need now is to get the right manager

*fingers crossed its not Terry Venables*

Iraq asian champs but lost their winning coach and tbh i dont think they could attract a real class one with thier whole situation at home and then theres China. I think we'll qualify but but u never know, we will be going to places we have never played at b4 with teams we have never played.

Cheers Liveru

Well... You maybe shouldn't underestimate us, but if Hareide keeps picking the inexperienced «youths» to his starting team, you got nothing to worry about! @ Hareide.

But all in all, I'm quite happy with the group. It's up to us to pick enough points (honestly, I think we'll fail - again).

I dont think Scotland will qualify because they lack any quality. You may have beaten Holland at home before but dont forget you lost the away leg 6-0!

As for Norway they have better players than the Scots - Pedersen, Riise, Carew. I would much rather have those three than McCulloch, McFadden and Darren Fletcher! Also used to have some great players - Henning Berg, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and a defender who played for Liverpool:/ Plus Steffen Iversens a Spurs Legend:P

Anyway back to our group, Easier than the last one but still should not be underestimated.

Croatia - If we get a good manager, someone like Capello then we should have the tactical quality to see them off Home and Away. They didnt even make the last World Cup!

Ukraine - Were quite poor in Euro Qualifiers, but lets face it, they had a hard group and happened to catch Scotland at a bad time! And they did manage the last 8 at the last World Cup

Belarus - They have the Hleb brothers, but other than that they generally perform poorly

Kazakhstan - Only the trip thats gonna beat us - I think its about 3500 Miles! Lets hope Borat plays eh?:P

Andorra - No win in 30 Qualifying games, enough said!!!

Karl-Heinze Riedle?

personally im pretty sad, im born in india and we're already out of the qualification - we lost a preliminary game to lebanon 6-3 aggregate :(
for canada, we have a chance, but a very tough chance - first we play st.vincent, which we should win, then we get into a group with mexico, honduras, and el salvador (top 2 go through to final round of 6 teams out of which 3 go automatically and 4th is playoff with south america) very hard it seems

France are better than Holland, Scotland beat France.
Italy are way better than Holland and we done great against them!
I think we have a really good chance, if we can beat France, in France, then I think we could beat Holland (maybe not away from home) and beat everyone else!

I think the Scotland Holland games results will be:
Scotland 2-0 Holland
Holland 1-1 Scotland

Scotland have no real chance of qualifying. We can dream the same way as the English dream about winning Euro's and World Cups but in relaity it will never happen.

Yeah right Fed. Not this time.

In all seriousness though, I think we've got a chance of qualifying, the only teams that could give us troubles are Croatia (obviously) and maybe Ukraine.

Plus hopefully by then, Cappello would've given our 'stars' a kick up the backside.

I think Wales got a bit of a rubbish draw really:

Germany, Russia, Finland, WALES, Azerbaijan, Liechtenstein

Not one but two top teams to play against and Finland ain't no easy game either. Nice steep learning curve for our youngsters.

And what is it with Wales and Azerbaijan being in the same qualifying groups!!

i am happy with englands group it should be easy to qualify with the only reputable teams bein croatia, ukraine and us. fortunately i dont see the ukraine posing us too much of a threat as they only really have sheva and tymoschuk who both are getting on in life and past there best. i can see it being a tough battle for 1st and 2nd between us and croatia

woodsy really, what was the point in groaning at my post? ffs how pathetic, back on topic, i think this qualification will be so close between england and croatia, if our key players are fit for the big games we should go through though :) must beat england at home though
