i want to install the football manager 2008 modifier or the 09 database update fot football manager 2008. i have download them and i dont know what to do now i try to unzip it in the game and it just says i do not have permission to do this and stuff can someone please tell me what to do but try and write it in idiot language as i have no idea about computers cheers in advance

here is a step by step(for the update):
Step 1: Download file(obviously)
Step 2: Extract the file using Winrar (can be found on WinRAR archiver, a powerful tool to process RAR and ZIP files ) or using WinZip.
Step 3: Extract the file to: My Documents/Sports Interactive/Football manager 2008/db
Step 4: Load up a new game, when you click "start new game" you should be able to choose the db from here.

For using FMM(football manager modifier):
Step 1: Download it
step 2: Extract it somewhere, i recommend your desktop
Step 3: Install it
Step 4: once Installed open up FMM and click "load" this will then load up the current game you are playing, you need your game to have been saved for this to work, i recommend you backup your save-game before using this tool

Make sure you have the right version of FMM, depending on what Patch you are running, you also need the same patch as the update you have downloaded(probably 8.02) or it wont work.

if your using vista you need to right-click FMM and run as admin or it won`t work
