Recently downloaded the update and followed all instructions extracting files to C:/Program Files/Sports Interactive/FM 2007/data/db. i have the 7.0.1 patch already installed too but wen i try starting the new game i can only choos between the 7.0.1 or original database. I have noticed the files when opened in winrar take the form of files to be opened in nero media player (nmp) something i found strange and wondered if this was prob. Although wen i removed nmp the files didn't appear in nmp form in win rar but once extracted to correct destination were once again appearing in nmp form.
Sounds very confusin i no but if ne1 could lend a hand would greatly appreciate it.

When you go to /data/db, do you have a folder called FMFormation there? If so, that should all be correct. You could try to extract the db update to My Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2007/db/. See if that works... |

does he have to have the 7.0.2 patch to play the fmformation update v2.0?

He's right, I have the exact same problem, even with the update extracted to both My documents/sports int./fm./db and the program files extension, still when I load up i only have the option of Original db or 7.0.1, despite even having 7.0.2 update installed. make sure its not in a double folder it shoudl read
"C:\Documents and Settings\Y2Stu\My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2007\db\FMFormation's Database Update" |
