I want to share my best tactics for Premier League! I gained the real success with it managing Southampton. I managed to get the 2nd position of Premier Championship overtaking Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea. And that's when my club had had media prediction of 12th position!

My tactical approach consists of the two distinct variants: for Home matches and for Away matches. Both have the same formation as shown below

Home: Team Instructions

It's home attacking variant with maximal Closing Down, Short Passing and Tight Marking. Actually, these three components are used in the away tactical instructions as well. Tempo is quite low here that allows to loose the ball rarely and have a good ball control. Average value of Defensive Line increases the intention of attacking force in this case. It give effect of closing an opponent on its side of a pitch. Time Wasting has the lowest value because I don't like to waste the time :). Normally I change it if there is need to hold up ball in the end of a game.

Away: Team Instructions

Actually the difference between home and away tactics is concluded in the team instructions. For away matches I have the following differences:

- normal Mentality (not attacking)
- more low Tempo
- Defensive Line is more close to goalkeeper
- Target Man usage. Striker is set as Target Man. Target Mans Supply=To Feet.
- Counter Attacks!

These 5 features make Away tactics very distinct from its Home prototype. Away tactics can be used for Home matches against very strong teams but I haven't been do it in such way during the last championship. Just because Home variant allows to score more goals and provide offensive style of playing.

ok mine is named: 'Powerful Winger Tactic 8.0.2'
i have also one named 'Powerful QPR Tactic 8.0.0'

both could win games like abt 23 - 35 games.
My Liverpool Save i was unbeaten for 3 seasons(100 - 200).

I play an identical formation but with very different team instructions. I see Fazio scored 15 goals from DC so im assuming you implement the 'corner trick'? Do you find that this tactic, 'corner trick' aside is very reliant on the FC?

At the moment i'm playing my most enjoyable game yet with Newcastle (FA cup final and two fifth place finishes with this tactic) Having signed Veloso, Woodgate,Diarra,Roque Santa,Arshavin amongst others i play a 5-3-2

Given

Collocini Taylor Woodgate

Diarra Aurellio

Veloso Appiah Barton

Roque Arshavin

*will try get a screenie up later...

I really like this formation and its got me some great results( especially against the top 5(Man Citeh are running away with the league))

Edit to say - Diarra and aurellio wing backs

I used this tactic in FM08 and actually created variations, I think the left and right winger's should attempt less crossing. I also tried to put fast strikers that can play the AML and AMR position i.e Higuain,Vela,Benzema,Dos Santos,Balotelli and set those fast striker/wingers as target men and supply them by feet or through ball.Your lone striker should also posses high work rate as he will close down opponents in the whole pitch. I also adapted this tactic late in the Champions League rounds when i played Bayern Munich and won the CL in my 1st season.A lot of thank you pal.
