He decides to hire the ugliest manager he can find so it wont happen again. He finds Marc Macdonald. The little rookie with big dreams. Abramovic installs him like a computer game and he slots straight into the DVD drive they call Chelsea. His pocket now contains Romans 90mill but theres something Roman doesn't know. Macdonald hates foreigners. The results were confortable with Macdonald telling his team to have fun and use the friendlies to get fit, results are not important. The assistance came back happy with the effort involved and the results. But Macdonald, sick of hearing other languages spoke in the dressing room, started to give players the boot. He got rid of the players who he didnt like, mainly because they were not English, Irish, Scottish or Welsh. He got some money from their sales to fund other transfers. Macdonald not only brought in the most players, but spend the most money in the league. Romans chelsea have been destroyed, but he keeps faith in his manager, the ugly Macdonald. | | | | | 19-09-07, 10:14 PM | #3 (permalink) | | Used In Squad Rotation Join Date: Aug 2007 Location: Sunderland Posts: 483 Thanks: 6 Thanked 24 Times in 15 Posts | Macdonalds first test was against Manchester United in the Community Shield. Abramovich was in the stands watching his new manager and his new team, wondering if he had made the right decision. After only 2 minutes he got his answer. Berra played a long ball to McFadden who nodded it into the path of Micheal Owen, he slotted past Van Der Sar into the far corner. Man Utd equalised after Steve Sidwell gave the ball away to Giggs who played Scholes through one on one with given, the ex Newcastle man had no chance. Macdonald rallied up his troops at half time and on 67 minutes was rewarded when Cole played a long ball over the top for Micheal Owen and chase and finish past the helpless Van Der Sar. The final goal came from a great break started inside the Chelsea half by Frank Lampard, who played into the feet of Owen. He cleverly flicked it to Shiels, who quickly passed it to Stokes. In one touch he feed it to Barry who then knocked it into the path of Shiels. He put it into the bottom left corner. Before the game Macdonald was asked about his title chances. He commented that he has a great team, and a team composed of English, Irish, Scottish and Welsh players deserves to win the biggest prize in England. As suspected he named no foreigners in his starting 11, which Cech being the only one on the bench. He failed to get on. Chelsea started brightly with a long range Joe cole effort being tipped over. But after that the game got dull. Only a few chances came either way although Chelsea had the majority of the posession in the first half. In the second half it was different. Middlesborough were forced to be on the defensive and seemed to be coping well until the 79th minute. Barry took a corner which didn't get cleared, the ball fell to Lampards feet 6 yards out, he could hardly miss. Middlesborough attack from then until the end with Tuncay going close twice and well as putting Aliadiere through, but they couldn't score. Macdonald was pleased, although his team didn't play well they got the victory. He commented after the game to Chelsea TV, 'You will see our team perform better as we gel, Middlesborough tried to frustrate us, and almost managed it.' | | | | | 18-12-07, 06:33 AM | #8 (permalink) | | FMF Donator Join Date: Feb 2007 Posts: 9 Thanks: 2 Thanked 0 Times in 0 Posts | Loving this.
