Aston Villa chairman Randy Lerner today announced that former England international Jack O’Beirne was the new manager at Villa Park.
Jack O’Beirne was a star in the playing days winning 44 caps and scoring 3 goals from the centre half position, and on 12 occasions captaining the England side.
American tycoon, Randy Lerner said in an exclusive interview to FMFormation.net that he couldn’t wait to take the new manager to the training ground and meet his squad. “He brings pride, passion, brute force and tactical knowledge and that’s what we have been lacking” said Mr. Lerner.
Aston Villa fan come manager Jack O'Beirne had said that the opportunity to manage his favourite club was one-in-a-million and when Randy Lerner rang him he was never going to let it slip.
Over 7,000 fans flocked to Villa Park to see the unveiling of the new manager and have an exclusive forum debate where anyone can ask the new manager questions, some of which were…
“Will you be bringing in any new faces?” he replied of course work needs to be done adding depth more than anything into the team, But theirs a great bunch of players here already.
“What can we expect from Villa this season?” Jack O’Beirne answered if we can break into Europe in my first season it will be a huge achievement for me and the club anything more will be a plus.
“Is the chairman willing to back you up financially?” he stated Mr. Lerner has gave me a very wealthy amount of money to spend on transfers which will be more than capable than purchasing some players that are needed.
“Anyone in particular?” chuckling he replied well I do have some players in mind but at this moment its just speculation.
I will now post images of my transfers for the first transfer window.
As you can see I spent big in the transfer window as Randy Lerner wanted to see some big name signings, so I gave him that and also invested in the future buying young stars such as Lauri Dalla Valle, Pablo Mazza and David Murphy who all immediately joined up with the reserve and under 18 squads.
My main buy of the market was Reading’s Kevin Doyle who I Spent some time with when I was a coach at Reading.
So that was my incoming transfers, but what about my outgoing, so here is the player I let go.

In comparision to my incoming transfers its nothing but I said that this squad needs depth and that’s what I added.
For pre season I sent the boys away to America with the assistant managers to do some training and team building.

A Convincing win which perhaps should have been more.

A terrible display and I'm dissapointed in the lads.

Much better than the last display although we left it very late.

Great way to end pre season and go into the league finishing on a win, and good to see Nigel getting on the score sheet.
Pre season was over and now it was time to get down to the real deal… The English Premier League.
First game of the season was a real test, Everton at home.
We knew it was going to be tough and will prove whether I could handle it or not.
Now I will post the teams and the overview of the home match vs. Everton.

A Wonderful win to kick start our season and let’s hope we can progress from here, I’m absolutely delighted.

So thats my update so far, I Have done more in season but forgot to save and exited  so maybe I Will add more tomorrow depending on the comments i recieve from this.
