Mizzi States Ambitions
Chris Mc Roy reporting here for Sky Sports as new Preston Manager Luke Mizzi is about to undergo his first press conference as a manager . There are alot of Journalists ready to shoot the questions to Mizzi.

"So Mr.Mizzi are you happy to be managing Preston ?" asks a Journalist

" Yes of course Preston are a great club, the first leauge champions and I admire the current squad which I met yesterday."

" Do you think you have enough experience for the job ?"

" Well, I have come a long way from an unknown Maltese coach to a Championship manager. However I believe that I am now used to England from my time with Blackpool."

" What are your ambitions for the season ?"

"My ambitions are to get us promoted to the Premiership and I mean promted by means of the top 2 in the Championship. Last season was hearthbreaking for Preston, losing the playoffs and I don't want the club to feel that way again."

" Any new players in mind ?"

"Well I have a few players in mind but money is a problem. I have a tight budget of 450,000 to buy players with. So some players might go. "

Preston play their first friendly next week against Italian side Padova

Preston to Sell Star Player ??
David Nugent,Preston North End's star player has been atracting interest from top Premiership clubs recently and Preston Manager Luke Mizzi seems to be ready to sell the forward. This decision seems to be an odd one by Preston's new manager but it is believed that Mizzi wants to have more money available to the squad. It is believed that Newcastle are ready to place a bid in the region of 7m. But it also believed that Reading are interested in the player.

Dwight Yorke celebrates his first goal with Preston

Preston were unlucky to lose their second friendly in the Italian tour. A very positive sign was the performance of Dwight Yorke who scored a fantastic goal after 11 minutes. In the 18th minute Preston's new goalkeeper Howarth got injured and was replaced by Andrew Longan. Napoli then equalized through Sosa in the 38th minute. They then took the lead once again a great goal by Sosa. Preston will play their last game on Saturday against Juventus

In a massive investment for Preston North End,Dave Nugent has sifned for Newcastle United for 7 million pounds. A great deal for Manager Luke Mizzi who wishes to improve his current squad. It is rumored that Carlton Cole could be on his way to Preston and Chris Eagles too. Meanwhile in an interview Dave Nugent said " I am very happy to join Newcastle, how ever very sad to leave Preston,I wish the club the best in the Future".
