After 231 days as manager at Priory Lane, he resigned after a fall-out with the chairman. James requested a new contract but was repeatedly denied after getting Eastbourne Boro to the play-offs. When they finally offer him a new deal, he wanted a full-time contract but the chairman once again said no and offered him a part-time contract. James said, "Well, I decided I was too good for Eastbourne and I started taking my interest elsewhere. I have declared my interest in a few jobs which could be available sooner rather than later! I am also not saying that I haven't applied for a job." Shortly after he resigned from Eastbourne, Scottish manager James McMahon was appointed as Serbia manager. He sai, "I am delighted to be here and I fell I can take Serbia to bigger and better things." All Serbian football supporters were ecstatic with the appointment of one of the best managers in the world. Then.. One week later, James was also appointed as Charlton Athletic manager. No-one knew exactly what was happening apart from the Serbian FA, Charlton Athletic F.C and James himself. Soon after, Charlton chairman Richard Murray, a Serbian FA representative and James McMahon appeared at a press conference to explain what was happening. James was to be manager of both Serbia and Charlton. Soon after this, Charlton received a MASSIVE TAKE-OVER, but James kept his job. The new chairman came to a press conference explaining that Charlton Athletic now had £80 million transfer funds and a £6 million wage budget. Charlton Fans and Staff were delighted! James McMahon sat off by rebuilding the whole squad, as he got an extra £80 million for the up and coming season. He signed a whole load of youngster including; Shaun Wright-Phillips, Ashley Young, Charles N'Zogbia and Leighton Baines! He has signed much more big name wonderkids! Meanwhile, on the other side of his duty's, James has took Serbia to 2 wins and 1 draw out of 3 games and is currently 3 points behind top and 6 points ahead of 3, with a game in hand, in the European Championship Qualifying Round. He has also gave Serbians one of there greatest achievements, he has took them from 40th to 16th in the World Rankings, the highest they have ever been. He has also called up a few players that Serbian fans haven't seen in a while such as; Dejan Stankovic and Milan Stepanov. James has obviously been impressed by these two players because; He has released a comment to the media saying he is extremely delighted with their form and waisted no time on bringing Milan Stepanov to The Valley. Some reports say that Dejan Stankovic will be moving the Charlton on a bosman at the end of his contract with Inter. Dejan said, "I would love to go to Charlton and work with James even more, he is a great manager. Before James took over Charlton, I had always thought of them as being relegation battlers, well, they probably were, but not anymore because they have they best manager they could ask for. I would love to go to Charlton when my contract with Inter is up, but I don't fell I could leave Internazional after a great few seasons with them. You never know, you could be seeing me in a Charlton top in 2010 when my contract is out, or I could sign within the next new weeks, no body knows!" James added, "Well lets hope it is in the next couple of weeks then eh! I will respect whatever decision he makes." -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Updated at end of each month [game time] | R.I.P Tommy Burns - You'll Never Walk Alone | | | 18-05-07, 09:39 PM | #2 (permalink) | | FMFs very own ;) Join Date: May 2006 Posts: 2,195 Thanks: 39 Thanked 130 Times in 111 Posts | nice start mate KUTGW =) | thanks to James M for the sig, cheers buddy :D EFC Diddy FMF Unittttt :P | | | 18-05-07, 09:42 PM | #3 (permalink) | | Co-founder of FMFormation's Graphical Challenges Join Date: Mar 2007 Location: Near Glasgow Posts: 2,071 Thanks: 344 Thanked 236 Times in 127 Posts | cheers mate, you should do a story on that Grays game called "The Mighty Grays!" lol | R.I.P Tommy Burns - You'll Never Walk Alone | | | 18-05-07, 10:40 PM | #4 (permalink) | | future king of england, FmF-UniT member Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: weymouth Posts: 544 Thanks: 25 Thanked 25 Times in 19 Posts | well done on your first story james keep it up. | Huggy B FmF-UniT | | | 18-05-07, 10:42 PM | #5 (permalink) | | Blackpool FC Supporter and 19th Member on the Site Join Date: Mar 2006 Location: Blackpool Posts: 1,223 Thanks: 73 Thanked 102 Times in 80 Posts | yea well done, dunno about the take over, was that really in the game or an added bonus to make the game more easier? | | | | 19-05-07, 11:00 AM | #6 (permalink) | | Co-Founder of Ruism.
