I Decided To Keep The Same Side And They Started Well With Forest Dominating And James Perch Hitting The Bar. The Game Evened Out A Little But We Still Looked First To Score. No-One Could Score And It Came To Full Time. I Told Them They Can Win This Game And It Started Well Until The 55th Minute Came And Blackpool Hit Us On The Break To Go 1on1 And Score And Undeserved Goal. I Was Gutted So When The 66th Minute Came There Were Subs. Junior Agogo Came On For James Perch, Grant Holt On For Jack Lester And Wes Morgan Off For Julian Bennet. We Were Going 4-3-3 Formation. They Didn't Change The Game And It Went Quiet From Then On. THe Whistle Went And I Wasnt Happy With The Finishing Today. I Kept The Same Side Except Junior Agogo Was On International Duty So I Put Stewart Back On The Bench. We Started So Well And Dominated The Whole Half. Tyson Had More Than Enough Chances To Put The Ball In The Net But The Keeper Was Too Good. In The Dysing Stages Of The Half Swansea Had One Of There Only Chances Of The Half. A Poor Clearance Left Leon Britton To Smash It 25-Yards Into The Top Corner. 1 - 0 Swansea And I Was Not Happy. They Scored Again But Luckily It Was Offside. We Did Not Deserve This. I Told The Boys I Want To See More From Them! Southall Didn't Show He Wanted To Win And In The Early Stages Of The Half He Decided To Kick Leon Knight Which Saw Him Have An Early Bath. I Decided To Go 3-3-3 Formation And Hope For Something. I Took Morgan Off For Stewart. The Game Came Out Even And Tyson Had 2 More Chanes To Get Us A Goal But Could'nt Finish. The 69th Minute Came And Grant Holt Took Sammy Clingan's Place To Go 3-2-4 Formation. We Were Going All Out! It Wasnt A Great Desicion And In The Dying Stages Of The Game Grant Holt Headbutted There Centre Back To See The 2nd Red Of The Game. I Was Fuming And When The Whistle Went The Players Knew About It. We Dominated From The Start But Couldnt Score. We Kept On Going And In The 29th Minute We Got Our Reward, Quick Free-Kick From Commons Met The Head Of Tyson To See Us Go 1-0 Up. We Carried On Straight After And Dominated The Rest Of The Half. The Half Time Break Came And I Gave The Boys Some Encouragement. It Didnt Seem To Work And The Game Started To Even Out. The 61st Minute Came And I Wanted To Make Subs But The Ref Played On From The Free Kick. A Good Ball From Rotherham And A Poor Clearance From Morgan Left Eugen Bopp To Make It 1-1. I Was Not Happy With The Ref. I Made 3 Changes And Took Off Bennett, Perch And Tyson For Wright, Gary Holt And Agogo. They Made A Good Start And Put The Rotherham Defence Under Trouble But Couldnt Put The Ball In The Net. The Final Whistle Went And I Was Gutted. A Very Good Display By Forest In The First Half And We Were Prehaps The Better Of The Sides. Not Many Chaneces But We Looked Like We Could Compete With This Team At That Level! The Half Time Whistle Went And I Told The Boys They Only Needed One Goal! 1 Sub Was Made Alan Wright Came On For Injured Malky Mackay And Bennet Moved Into The Center While Wright Went On The Wing. It Was Another Quiet First Half But It Seemed Like Wigan Had Upped There Tempo But Could Not Score. The 69th Minute Came So Subs Were Coming On, Agogo Came On For Perch Which Ment 4-3-3 Formation Came Out. I Was Going For The Win. After The Subs We Came Back Looking Better Competing Against The Premiership Side. We Had Chances And So Did They But The Final Whistle Went And I Felt It Was A Fair Result. It Was Another Forest First Half With Us Dominating From The Start Of The Half To The Finish. Tyson Putting In A Great First Half Peformance By Hitting The Bar Twice But Not Being Able To Score. The Half Time Break Came And I Told Them That They Only Need One Goal And That Was It. They Listened Once Again And Played A Great Half Of Football Once Again But Could Not Score In The First 20 Minutes. The 67th Minute Came And I Decided To Go 4-3-3 Formation And Take Off Nathan Tyson For Junior Agogo And Play Dobie Upfront. I Was Hoping This Would Work. The Game Flew By And We Were Off Into Pens. I Was Cacking My Pants. First Up Was Commons... 1 - 0 Forest. Orient Equalised. Second Was Lester... 2-1 Forest. Orient Equalised. Third Was Agogo... MISS! So 2-2 Still. Orient Went 3-2 Up. This Was The New Side To Play And With My Strongest Squad Out I Wanted A Win. They Showed This And In The First 5 Minutes A Commons Cross Was Deflected To Tyson Who Shot From A Tight Angle Which Hit The Net. 1 - 0 Forest And We Was Back On Winning Ways. We Didn't Want To Stop There And Kept Dominating. We Got Our Reward In The 21st Minute When A Good Ball From Southall On His Return Met The Head Of Jack Lester At The Near Post To Make It 2-0. Carlisle Came Back Instantly Looking For A Goal And In The 34th Minute A Poor Keeping Error Left Luke Joyce To Make It 2-1. We Came Back And Dominated For The Rest Of The Half With Us Getting And Obvious Disallowed Goal Just Before The Break. I Went In At The Break And Encouraged The Boys To Keep At What There Doing. They Did Exactly That And In The 46th Minute A Great Ball From James Perch Left Tyson 1on1 To Make It 3-1 Forest. I Was Delighted! We Carried On Dominating And When The 64th Minute Came I Decided To Make Some Subs To Give The Rest A Run Out. Stewart, Grant Holt And Gary Holt Came On For Tyson, Lester And James Perch. The 2 Strikers Got A Standing Ovation And I Was Hoping The 2 New Strikers Who Came On Where Going To Make A Big Impact Aswell. They Did Exactly That With Stweart Hitting The Bar But Not Being Able To Find The Net On The Rebound. We Carried On Dominating And When The Final Whistle Went I Was Happy We Were Getting Back On Winning Ways In The League. They Didnt Show That And Wigan Dominated Through Out. There Team Was Diffrent As They Wanted To Win This. They Got There Reward With A Solo Effort By Emile Heskey In The 14th Minute. I Wasn't Too Worried. The Game Evened Out A Bit More But It Was Still Wigan On Top. They Got Another Reward Just Before Half Time When Henri Camera Played A 1-2 With Emile Heskey Who Then Made It 2-0. The Half Time Break Came And I Told The Boys Not To Worry. They Came Out And Seemed Like They Wanted To Come Back Into This Game. The Half Went So Quick That I Didn't Have Time To Make My Subs And I Was Not Really Worried When The Final Whistle Went. The Only Change Was Keeper Paul Smith Who Was Injured Came Off For Rune Pedersen. I Wanted The Win And The Boys Knew That So They Dominated From The Off. 4 Great Chances In THe First 8 Minutes And A Minute Later A Great Ball From A Commons Corner Met The Head Of Lester At The Front Post. 1 - 0 And I Was Bursting With Enjoyment. We Wernt Going To Stop Then So 10 Minutes Later Another Commons Corner Met The Head of Lester At The Front Post For His Second And Forest's Second. We Kept On Dominating And In The 35th Minute A Lucky Shot From Gillingham Striker Hit Off James Perch To Make It 2-1. I Was Gutted But Told The Boys To Keep There Heads Up. After The Goal The Game Went Even And The Half Time Whistle Went. At The Break I Gave The Boys Encouragement So They Would Keep Going Playing There Football. It Seemed To Work As We Came Out All Guns Blazing And Nathan Tyson Was So Unlucky To Score. The 68th Minute Came And I Decided To Take Off Tyson, Lester And Perch For Stewart, Grant Holt And Gary Holt. Lester Got A Standing Ovation. I Was Hoping The Subs Would Make A Big Impact But It Didnt Work. Gillingham Came Back And Showed Fighting Action. In The 84th Minute A Disaster Struck With A Great Gillingham Cross Meeting Flynn's Header To Make It 2-2. I Was Gutted. He Needed Some Goals And He Was Getting Them Today. It Wernt Long After For His Chance To Get His Hat-Trick But He Missed. We Carried On Dominating And When The Half Time Whistle Game I Was Delighted With The Side. I Told The Boys Not To Let There Peformance Drop. At Half Time I Changed James Perch Because He Picked Up A Niggle So I Brought On Gary Holt. What Did They Do? Let The Peformance Drop. The Game Ended Up Being Even And In The 60th Minute A Good Through Ball By Oldham Left Winger Left Chris Potter To Make It 2-1. After The Goal Lester And Tyson Came Off For Grant Holt And Stewart. Tyson Got A Standing Ovation. I Was Hoping The Would Make A Big Impact And They Certainly Did That. Paul Smith When Back In Goal. Junior Agogo Took The Place Of Nathan Tyson As Him And Stewart Were Both Injured. Also Alan Wright Took The Injured Kris Commons Place. This Would Be Tough With A Very Weak Side. It Seemed Like I Was Wrong And We Dominated From The Kick. We Couldn't Score But We Kept On Creating Good Chances. The Half Time Whistle Came And I Told The Boys They Could Win This Because I Didn't Want To See Them Throw It Away. We Carried On Playing Like We Were Going To Win But Just Couldnt Get A Goal On The Score Sheet. The 73rd Minute Came I Took Off Gary Holt For Grant Holt To Make It 4-3-3 Formation.
