With Good Efforts From Beaumont,Holt And Stewart. Commons Was Wanting In On The Act So On The 43rd Minute A 25 Yard Blaster From Commons Put Forest 1 - 0 Up. The Half Time Whistle Went And I Decided To Encourage The Boys For The Second Half Which Seemed To Help Because We Came Out Looking More Confident And Pressure Them From The Off. We Were Unlucky Not To Score So I Decide To Bring On The 3 New Faces. Lester, Tyson And Gary Holt For Grant Holt, Stewart And Perch. We Kept On Dominating And On The 78th Minute And Unexpected Scorer, Gary Holt Blasted One Home To Make It 2-0 Forest. We Knew This Was Game, Set And Match And When That Final Whistle Went We Were All Dreaming Off The Next Round.

I Was Only Going To Make One Sub For The Game. The Recovered Sammy Clingan For James Beaumont. These Are Must Win Games. We Got Off To A Poor Start And In The 14th Minute Millwall Got There Reward. A Well Worked Goal By Millwall Scored By Marvin Williams. We Came Back Strong But On The 36th Minute Millwall Went Out On The Counter Attack And Williams Tapped In His Second. We Came Back Strong Again And A Quick Reply From Forest Was Needed. We Did Exactly That, On The 40th Minute Grant Holt Went 1on1 To Give Forest A Hope. I Told The Boys That I Wanted To See More And They Knew I Wernt Happy So They Did Exactly That And On The 54th Minute Marcus Stewart Somehow One The Header To Level The Game. The Fans Were So Happy With The Comeback And So Was I. It Came To The 66th Minute And I Decided To Take Of The Goalscorers For Tyson And Lester And Also Take Off Morgan For Bennett. The Goalscores Got A Big Round Of Applause From The Away Fans. We Struggled In The Dying Minutes And Digged Deep To Get A Point. It Would Do.

I Decided To Change Stewart And Grant Holt For Tyson And Lester To See If They Could Pull The Win Out. Needed To Win This. This Seemed To Work Because In The 15th Minute A Delflected Free Kick From Southall Fell To Lester Which Flew Into The Top Corner. 1 - 0 Forest! We Carried On Dominating But Couldnt Find The Second Goal Before The Break. I Told The Boys To Keep Going And They Can Have This Game. The Second Goal Was Not Looking Like It Was Going To Come So I Decided To Take Off The Front 2 For Stewart And Grant Holt. I Also Took Perch Off For Gary Holt. They Made A Big Diffrence And In The 68th Minute A Deflected Cleareance From Huddersfield Defence Fell To Commons Who Dodged In Side And Slotted Down Left To Make It 2 - 0. That Finished The Game And The Final Whistle Went With A Roar From The Home Fans.

We Carried On Dominating And Had About 6 Chances But Just Couldn't Score. We Got Our Reward In The 34th Minute When Grant Holt Played In Sammy Clingan Who Took One Touch Into The Area And Banged It Top Left To Put The Away Fans Into Dream Land. I Told Them To Keep Going And They Did Exactly That, In The 58th Minute A Poor Backpass By Wallsall Gave Grant Holt A Chance He Was Not Going To Miss. We Kept On Going And 10 Minutes Late It Was 3. Grant Holt Connected His Head To A High Ball By Commons To The Front Post Which Put Us 3 - 0 Up And Holt's Second Of The Game. A Very Open First Half Gave Lots Of Chances Which Could Not Be Diverted Into The Net. We Started To Look Beter Than Them And We Got What We Deserved In The 39th Minute When A Poor Clearance By Port Vale Keeper Left James Perch To Blast It In An Empty Net From 25 Yards Out. We Were Looking For A 1 - 0 Lead At Half Time But In The Dying Stages Grant Holt Put Tyson Through 1on1 Which He Was Not Going To Miss. 2 -0 Up And Cruising. I Told Them At Half Time To Keep It Up And They Did Exactly That By Dominating Them And In The 56th Minute A Quick Free-Kick From Southall Was Nodded In Front Post By Sammy Clingan. 3 Up And It Was Game Over. In The 4th Minute A Deadly Cross From Kris Commons Left Manager/Player Paul Ince To Put The Ball In His Own Net. I Was Giving Him The Hand Jester Which Didn't Go Down Well With The 4th Official. It Looked Like It Could Be Going Double Figures. We Went In 3-0 Up And I Told The Boys Not To Let There Heads Go Or There Could Be Trouble. He Went Cheeky And Lobbed The Keeper To Put Us 1 - 0 Up. We Kept On Dominating And When We Went In At Half Time, I Told Them To Keep Playing There Game They Were Playing. They Did That And We Dominated For The Next Half Aswell. We Kept Going At Them And In The 66th Minute Tyson Picked Up The Ball And Shot From 40 Yards Out. BANG! Top Corner And 2-0 Forest. The Fans Were Amazed. After The Goal I Brang On Stewart, Grant Holt And Bennett For Tyson, Lester And Morgan. Tyson Got A Standing Ovation Which Cheered Him Up. The 76th Minute And John Mackie Of Leyton Orient Shoved Sammy Clingan Which Saw Him Have An Early Bath. In My Eyes This Was Funny And The Fans Felt It To. We Carried On Playing And When The Final Whistle Went I Was So Happy That We Had Picked Up 3 Points Against A Top Side In The League.

The Unchanged Side Was Still There And I Was Hoping For 3 Points Against Brighton Today. It Was A Very Open Game With Both Teams Getting Some Good Chances But No-One Being Able To Put The Ball In The Net. The Ball Did Go In The Net Though In The 26th Minute When A Great Ball From Commons Was Volleyed In By The Powerfull Jack Lester. After This The Game Went Quiet And Half Time Came Along Quick. I Encouraged The Boys Which Seemed To Work And They Dominated In The First 15 Minutes. The 62nd Minute Came And I Brang On 3 New Faces. Lester, Tyson And Perch Came Off For Grant Holt, Stewart And Gary Holt. The 2 Strikers Made An Impact With Grant Holt Setting Up Stewart Who Decided To Hit The Bar Instead Of The Net. We Had To Dig Deep In The Dying Minutes And When That Whistle Went We Was Relieved. Another Win Closer To The Championship.

I Kept The Same Side Hoping For A Win Which Didn't Start Well As They Went 1-0 Up In The Frist 10 Minutes. I Was Gutted And Told The Boys They Come Back And They Did. We Deserved A Goal But Couldnt Score. We Went In At Half Time 1 - 0 Down And Told The Boys Wheres The Passion. They Came Out And Showed Me The Passions In The Second Half When A Good Ball From Commons Met The Head Of Lester In The 52nd Minute To Make It 1-1. They Came Back And We Struggled A Bit. It Got Worse In The 63rd Minute When James Curtis Got Sent Off For A Poor Challenge Which Left Us With No Right Back. The Subs Were Made And Tyson Came Off For Stewart Whilst Lester Came Off For Bennet. We Went 4-4-1 Formation Hoping To Knick A Winner. After The Sending Off We Looked Better But Couldn't Score And When The Final Whistle Went I Was Happy With The Draw.

I Was Wanting To Get On Winning Track So I Decided To Keep The Same Team Except The Susepended John Curtis Was Off For John Thompson And Junior Agogo Took Marcus Stewart's Place On The Bench. A Poor Start From Forest Was Not Looking Good But Crewe Couldn't Take There Chances. After 10 Minutes We Started To Look Better And On The 11th Minute Nathan Tyson Got On To A Good Ball By Southall Which He Went Solo With A Smashed It Bottom Left. 1 - 0 Up And It Was A Great Feeling. The Game Went A Little Bit Quieter But We Started To Look The Better Of The Sides. The Half Time Whistle Went And I Told The Boys That They Can Do This Just Got To Keep Playing There Own Football. They Didn't Do Exactly That And The Game Started To Even Itself Out With A Quiet 20 Minutes.
