Well i tried it at everton pre-season worked well against minor teams but not too good in the league i do believe in the system i see its potential you need the right players just started man city game and again ive had a cracking pre season still got 2 games scored 14 goals and conceded 4 in 4 friendlies its all about the right players

Heres a break down of what I feel makes it work and who i play

2 strong centre backs (Micah Richards and Richard Dunne)
2 good midfielders one AM or MC and a DM or MC (Stephen Ireland and Fernando Gago)
A good target man (Giorgios Samaras)
A goalscorer (Rolando Bianchi)

Cheers for this tactic Luke
I may edit if I have anymore feedback on the system would be interesting to hear from a few more people

Might try this with my inconsistent pompey side

My starting XI for a 4-4-2 atm is:

GK: Ustari
DR: Ratinho
DCs: Hobbs & Sergio
DL: Marcelo/Bale
MR: Gary O'Neil
MCs: Pinau/Digard & Cardenas
ML: Bale/Marcelo
STs: Jo/Vela & Higuain/Bojan

Good team, our problem is the manager :D

Are those the actual individual instructions you use? I might edit them...

I tried this with my Nigeria team and won the African Nations Cup without conceding a goal in the tournament. :first: I dont see how though with all the defenders having such attacking mentality lol

it works well for me at everton defensively sound dont concede many either unless tim howard has a shocker i.e one game against bolton on an old save lost 5-0 at home :s thats my worst experience of this tactic but other than that if you got a strong team it will work well i even got a 1-1 against Utd at OT :D
