Default Which laptop should i get?

I`m looking at a laptop tomorrow so i need a answer quick, i`ve seen this Buy HP 530 Core Duo T2050*GH637AA#ABU from CCL - Online Retailer of the Year 2006 will FM run smoothly on it, does anyone have this actual laptop, it would be great if someone could tell me because i don`t know that much about them, if it isn`t right could you tell me which one would be, i have £385 to spend, i want it only for FM and going on the net.

try looking for one that has over 1gb, pref over 2gb the better, but ur lack of funds is lettin u down. Try and raise it to 500 and u'll have better options for you to chose.

Try looking at ebuyer.com

Thanks for the quick response, i was thinking of getting another stick of ram, i only really want it for FM, would having 2gb make that much difference, how would FM run with 1gb, my pc is pretty dated now, that`s only a pentium 4 2.6 and has 1gb of ram and it runs FM ok.

FM is a memory hog, the more memory the quicker... If u want a decent processor go with the Core Duo, The Celeron M is pants

64-bit processers are used a lot in CAD projuect, so should be able to process the massive amount of data in FM very well, but as has been mentioned in previous post, if your looking to buy a laptop maily for FM then take more notice of the ram it has (if you go to a store, you can negotiate with the sales people to get more if you are confident). so id look for something with at least 1 gig of ram for fm, and then look for a processer which will meet your other computing needs

Have you ever bought a custom made laptop from PC specialist.co.uk or know anybody that has, my brother is thinking of getting one, the one he`s getting is core 2 duo(2x2.00ghz) 800mhz FSB, 2gb ram 512mb geforce 8600gt, 6 cell lithium battery (4hr battery life), for less than a 1000 it`s pretty good but wanted to know if other people had bouht from them and if there laptops were ok.

that would run FM pretty good. Never bought from them, never herd of the website, but it seams ok. Pretty cheap for custom builds. Which is always a good thing!

I think it will run most games, i`d never heard of the website myself until someone told me. The actual case looks like plain black, it obviously doesn`t have a brand name which is why it`s not as expensive. I have looked at laptops which are well over a £1000 and they don`t seem as good, so it just shows how much people pay for the name.
