I've only ever had this once in my game, with Liverpool, whereby at the start you're given a message from your chairman about his desire for 'world-class players' at the club. This enabled me to sign Vicente out of the chairman's pocket. I've a quick question, how often does this happen? Out of perhaps 50 games started with Liverpool, it's happened once. I understand there's a 'sugar-daddy' chairman status in the editor, of course I don't want to cheat i'm just curious as to whether gillett and hicks are under this 'command', as it seems to have been a complete one-off. I think I saw this happen once. My friend was playing as Reading and was told to sign a big-name player and not to worry about breaking the transfer budget. I've never had it happen with Charlton though :(

Something similar happened to me. I was Chelsea and was told to buy a big name player. I didn't, so Abramovic went out and bought one for me and it didnt use any of my transfer budget.

I had it with leicester, got James Milner, a huge name :P (made milan happy though :))
