Angry Non-League Gems

This thread is dedicated to those fantastic non-league footballers who dont get spotted, in my opinion the premier league is getting crazy now:der: . Just 28 of the 107 signings made by premier league sides were english and only a small percentage of those english signings were for players in a lower division. They only sign proven superstars, hardly any players are nurtured by the premier league club. They think its easier to spend millions upon millions on players from abroad then to spend a few thousand on an up and coming non league gem.

Look at Michael Kightly for example, 2 years ago he was in the conference with grays, and now hes playing first team football for Wolves and in the england U-21 side. Neil Warnock has come through the ranks as a manager, he started his managerial career with Todwick in the sheffield and district league, then after numerous non league jobs he found himself at sheffield united, and got them promoted to the premiership! I think premier league clubs need to sit up and take notice. There are a lot of non league players scoring goals for fun in the lower leagues.

Now, you have your say. Do you agree with me, or are you happy with the alex fergusons and jose mourinhos buying fully developed superstars?

Same with Freddy Eastwood, started with Southend in conference I think and now look at him. Not in prem yet but should be there soon.
