I mean, on FM 2005 and 2006 I had more joy when a player which I bought from sweden for little cash had less Current Ability than the one I had till the. I bought him for backup, but he was playing with an average rating of over 8.0. One thing that I like in older versions is that after 1 or 2 seasons I already had an all 5 or 6 star first team on the team report and it said that Ive got a team that can dominate the league. I ve played that game for like more than 10 seasons and I had a real dynasty. It was great to see current players retiring and maybe becoming coaches at my club and so on. FM 2007 is a great game and all but I get bored after 3 seasons. I ARE YOU OF THE SAME OPINION? | | | | | 27-02-07, 07:09 PM | #2 (permalink) | | Used In Squad Rotation Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: Galway, Ireland. Which I love, not that it gets boring, but that it is harder to get a brilliant team. I'm in my third season with LFC and my team still doesn't beat every team easily enough. I lose games. I'm a good manager, but I was far better on FM 06. What SI imo are trying to do is to make your team brilliant over a long period, so you can get more addicted and your certain to by the next one lmao. | | | | 28-04-07, 02:01 PM | #3 (permalink) | | Backup To The First Team Join Date: Mar 2007 Posts: 170 Thanks: 0 Thanked 3 Times in 3 Posts Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTW/F/M Award(s): 0 | I agree with Keav. My brother playes in FM 2006 with Undinese and he had after five season a top team (win champions league twice and get every year champion of Italy). He stopped because he gets bored. He have found all his players with scouting. The same thing he gets with Hannover 96 also by FM 06. I like FM 07 more it is harder. I have a question: Why you don't have to choose the difficulty? (You have by Fifa manager) | | | | | 29-04-07, 02:47 PM | #4 (permalink) | | Used In Squad Rotation Join Date: Oct 2006 Posts: 297 Thanks: 1 Thanked 12 Times in 12 Posts Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTW/F/M Award(s): 0 | I feel that this years game is a massive improvement but it is so hard to get into a decent game without getting bored. You get really easy games i feel especialy with Man U but you get games like Arsenal and it is to hard. Something they have to work on next year. | | | | 29-04-07, 03:19 PM | #5 (permalink) | | Co-Founder of Ruism. Join Date: Jan 2007 Location: Yorkshire. I am a Liverpool fan but don't play as any top sides as you can win everything far to easily and that bores me, I want a challenge and get bored once I've achieved the title, European success etc. I've quit when I had won the league with West Ham and Man City in the first season on FM7, I prefer the challenge to the winning. One of my mates likes to play over 10 seasons with top sides or challengers to create that Dynasty and another one cheats with stats, adding players in and always plays with Man United as otherwise he can't win and he doesn't like the challenge. I think the game has more longevity when you are a lower league side aiming for promotion etc, that said Bristol City finished 6th in my first season in the Prem and I was annoyed as it shouldn't have realistically been possible and perversely because I wanted to be in a relegation dogfight, yet at the same time I get really angry when I lose. Just goes to show Sigames can't keep everyone happy, as we all have difference reasons for playing the game in the first place. | | | | | 03-05-07, 09:25 AM | #7 (permalink) | | Decent Youngster Join Date: Nov 2006 Posts: 18 Thanks: 3 Thanked 0 Times in 0 Posts Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTW/F/M Award(s): 0 | I think this years is much better than any previous incarnation. in previous FMs,ive got quite bored after a season or 3(have no attention span cos of MTV and herbs) but with this version im in my fourth year with liverpool,am a world class manager, beloved by both fans and board but still every season is a challenge and whilst im always challenging for the league/europe/domestic cups, they are never easy and make me pay attention in every game this version,i think, is the best because the difference between a good team and a great team is so minute that u REALLY have to work at your team, and its these little changes which are so rewarding when it all comes together | Nothing says "Obey Me" like a bloody head on a fence post! | | | 03-05-07, 11:49 AM | #8 (permalink) | | Bozza's pet Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: FMF is my home Posts: 445 Thanks: 7 Thanked 8 Times in 4 Posts Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTW/F/M Award(s): 0 | I think each year is getting harder but more challenging....in 06 it was easy to get a small club massive and it seems near impossible in 07! | Funny quote: "Put Your hands up for Dirk Kuyt - he loves this city!" - classic Tazskool Need any help with anything just PM me!
