I did a quick search and came up with these...

I will start a new game of FM in a day or two and "TRY" and understand the whole draft thingie in FM07... and hopefully have a guide written .. but as you all know I dont rush as I do go in depth with these things""

tis dead easy to pick up,

basically the team that finished lowest gets the first pick of the new draft of players from the colleges, and ends with the highest.

The draft keeps on going until each team has made 3 picks.

However if you decline to make your first pick you cannot pick later on in the same draft.

picing a player doesnt guarantee you signing him as you still have to agree terms etc

basically its to level the standard play field in america

every year in all sports in the US the team that finish last in the league gets the first pick of player from college who make themselve avaliable for the draft so the the lower postion u get the higher chance of you getting the best talents from america therefore if your playing in the MLS scouts are very important for draft talents scouting
