ARTICLE OF THE MONTH - THE IDEA THREAD

So your thinking to yourself, what is an article anyway. Well it is kind of writing a report on something or voicing your opinions on a certain subject. It could be something like "If i was Admin for the day, what would i do". I'm sure we could all right about that without any problems. The article can also be FM related. For example, "What would life be like if we never found Football Manager".

So whats the idea I have you say, well here it is:

THE ARTICLE OF THE MONTH IDEA

Here is what I came up with so far:

A topic will be chosen for you to write on by the Writers Crew.

Articles must be no more then 500 words ( should be plenty)

Articles have until the 25th of each month, same as GOTM

Then they will go for a public vote

Winner announced on Noon of the final day of each month

Articles must be, spell checked, written in proper grammer, so no lol or lmao etc allowed

Entry's will be posted the same way as GOTM


So as this is only the Idea thread, all of your thoughts no matter how stupid or bad they may seem to you are welcomed with open arms.

Hopefully I have made some sense on the matter, if not, just ask me about anything your not sure of.

So get your thinking caps on guys

Anyway, seems like a perfectly good idea that might seek out some budding article writers. After all the GOTM competition has produced some great guides from members that wouldn't have dreamed of writing a guide if it wasn't for said competition.

Given more thinking time, I'll probably come up with some better ideas, but maybe an article on What Makes A Good Manager possibly? Or Who Are The Good Players to Sign on FM

Just a couple of thoughts, if I think of more I will post them, great idea nonetheless

Seems like you have all the bases covered there mate, can't personally think of anything else to add.

Appears to be well thought out and structured with a clearly defined set of guidelines. I'm sure it will be a success if you decide to run with it and as Ru said, it'll probably bring some budding writers out of the woodwork!

Could be good but I don't think much people actually make articles but maybe this idea might encourage more people to write.

Its a bit like 606 then really? You could write ariticles on your thought on England and why they're not doing very well, Sepp Blatter, and stuff like that etc etc

I had an idea the other day whilst in the shoutbox to make a Wikipedia page for FMF.

It would be useful for FMF to have a Wiki page, so why not allow an FMF member to publish it as an article, and the prize be to have it published on Wiki?

Just a thought.

Make an FMPedia lol
