With the massive changes made in FM07 compared to FM06 it is also good to see the coaching side of things has had changes made.

In this guide we will cover the changes in the Coaching setup, the coaching screens, the players attributes screen and contracts of coaching staff you wish to hire!

In answer to a the main question to start with:
Can I use my FM06 Training Schedules: Yes.

Of course you will need to import them the same as you did in FM06 but remember the default directory is a different location now you are playing FM07!

For those who do not know how to import schedules you made in FM06 or ones you have downloaded click on Schedules – New – Import and find the location of them (1 at a time) and import them into the game. You will need to import Senior and Youth Schedules to the correct screens!!

The biggest difference you will see to start with is that the Coaching is now in 2 groups.

Senior and Youth Coaching, which also brings a huge change into the coaching staff roles. As you can see from the split screen shots below. Notice that you have Youth Coaches and Senior Team Coaches and in the Staff Profile they are now defined!

Also when you are out purchasing coaching staff you can decide on the type of contract a lot more. In the way that you can say “Youth Team Coach” or Senior Team Coach.

When purchasing staff you can also now specify that you want that coach to sign as a coach, first team, youth or goalkeeping coach. This allows you to easily see where the coach should be and give the coach a better understand as to what is expected.

The difference is now that in if you sign the coach as a coach then they will appear in BOTH the adult and youth training screen.
If you sign the coach as first team he will appear ONLY in the first team coaching screen.
Signing the coach on a Youth Team Coaching contract and they will only appear in the Youth screen.
Goalkeeping Coach will appear in BOTH screens.

The rest of this guide is downloadable from the link at the top... complete with screenshots!!!

If you wish to use this or any of my guides in your FM site please let me know first so I can keep it updated!!
