Overview Best player in the world? Many think he is one of the most entertaining players the game has seen. World Cup 2006 he did not live up to all the hype and even in the 2006/2007 season for Barcelona people have been criticizing him and saying he is "overweight". Ronaldinho has been awarded the FIFA World Player of the Year award twice in 2004 and then the following year 2005, as well as the European Footballer of the Year award and the FIFPro World Player of the Year award twice (2005, 2006). He started his career of for Brazilian club Gremio career and was played because of the immense pressure from the Gremio supporters. His first senior appearance came in the 1998 Libertadores Cup, and his eye for goal was discovered. He also made his Brazilian debut in 1999. In 2001 Ronaldinho left Grêmio to play European football. Despite bids from much larger clubs he chose to play for PSG.
After the 2002 World Cup, and impressing many world class mangagers there was a que of clubs wanting his name . In 2003 The club that ended up winning the battle for his services was FC Barcelona. Manchester United also wanted him as a replacement for David Beckham, but he rejected them.

Consistency After only one season with him i have to admit he is the most consistent player i have every had. He started of with a good eye for goal but lacked the assists. That all changed. 18 assists in 58 games is not to bad for someone you would not expect to be much of an assister and more of a man finishing of the product. I also have to not that as captain he is just as much as a leader as Puyol is, and another benift is his admiration by the fans leading to high shirt sales
Strengths Now the list could be endless but i will not the most specific attributes to his game. Firstly i wasn't to impressed with his free-kicks but he does score magical ones, note a 35 yarder for me. Overall in the whole he notched home 6 which is not a bad effort at all. His dribbling, passing and technique are all 20 along with his determination and flair. Showing he is a man who will fight for victories. Although his finishing is only 14 i have to admit he does score so many magical goals, but misses plenty too. In a game he will have 6 shots all on target and only 1 will be a goal. Ok so it may be that the keeper was someone like Palop who is a rock on this game. With good creativity and decision making he proves a class playmaker. Also one of the biggest advantages has to be that he very rarely gets injured and that was the reason to my treble winning success.
Weaknesses Now you may think this is not very important as he is so decisive up the top half of the pitch that it doesn't really matter. But he has poort areal ability which would stop him being your centre forward. Also his lack of positioning would suggest question marks on if he could do the job in the centre of the field, the positive of it is that give him a free role and he will do the job. His stats state that he is selfish but from in game experience i have to admit that hill does pass a lot, give him the through ball option and he will set Eto'o off.
Final Verdict For me so far he is the best player i have come across on the game. I always thoguht he was overrated on the game and still not a quality player but believe me he is a match winner in every game. He scores plenty as you can see from the screen shot, will set goals up. Set-pieces are his strong point and if you have the money buy him as soon as possible. One thing is depending on what players you look for is his age. 26 means the best years are coming but also he will not improve and if you like bringing kids up and naturing them then he may not be your man. His love for Barca may make it difficult to buy him and you can easily win him over if he receives big awards. One final thing. I played him as a left striker but no the wing, with an arrow dropping of the the attacking midfield left position so i would very much recommend that.
