If you do ever manage a League 1 or lower club you will really need to bring money into the club first.. This will help you in many ways.

The Board will be happier at the financial side of things.
They might give you more transfer budget/wages.
Also gives the players a huge boost.
Fans will come to the matches which will boost ticket sales and season ticket sales.

Also look at making 1 huge signing that you really need. This will hopefully bring in more fans to teh club and sales.

As soon as the first season ends you can make friendly matches.. go for 2 games a week and make it against World Class Teams...

2 weeks before the start of the season play your team against little club to bring the confidence up again and you can try some formations.

Approach the board for Parent clibs from day 1 and again every few months..

managing a lower league in this version is difficult

i had my success with nuneaton and hereford in previous FM but not in this

Tactics and better AI make it a darn good challenge

im playin as fisher is very tough well we got through conferance south and national only to be tottaly outclassed every match in league 2

no mater what i do cant seem to get a result

as for money wise i agree with the friendly's did it start of this league and made quite a bit of profit well enough to expand the stadium a bit

Another way of earning $$ is by getting free players, hopefully they churn out respectable form and sell them for a profit.
