Here is a brief guide on where to unzip your facepacks and other FM additions that you download from various sites...

If you dont know any decent ones PM me!!!

first of all you will need 1 or 2 additional programs...

winzip and winrar.

both of these serve the same function but slightly differently..

Winzip can be found from www.winzip.com and downloaded for FREE..

WinRaR can be found from www.rarlabs.com and is also FREE!!

Winzip unzips files that end in .zip and WinRAR unrar's files ending in .RAR!!

Install these programs to the locations they will be default!

Now for where to unzip/unrar the packs you download !!!

If you unzip files and they already exist within your FM BACK UP YOU OLD FILES!!! this will save any issues you have with packs!

Facepacks
C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2006\data\graphics\pictures\players then the country the facepacks are for, such as Australia \pictures\players\australia

If the country folder doesnt exist create one, unless the facepack you are installing already has one (as some of them do)

If you download a Liverpool Facepack this place will be C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2006\data\graphics\pictures\players\eng\premiershi p\liverpool

Club Logos
C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2006\data\graphics\pictures\clubs

Competition Logos
C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2006\data\graphics\pictures\competitions folders.

Kit Images
C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2006\data\graphics\pictures\kits folders.

Nations
C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2006\data\graphics\pictures\nations folders

Skins
C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2006\data\skins

2D Players
C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2006\data\graphics\pitch\icons

Match Balls
C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2006\data\graphics\pitch\balls

Match Nets
C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2006\data\graphics\pitch\nets

Skins
