Overview,
One of the biggest English Clubs with great traditions but with not having won a lot recently the overall class of players they have in FM can win anything as long as you use correct tactics and rotate your squad though out the season.



Expectations,
The Board expect you to qualify for Europe for next season.



The Squad
Overall the squad is very strong in the midfield with the work horse Steven Gerrard, Alonso and Garcia and the upcoming Sissoko. In goal Liverpool have 3 class keepers in Reina, Carson and Dudek.
Upfront with Cisse, Crouch, Morientes there are 3 strikers who can produce goals but you have to be careful and rotate Mori and Crouch as their fitness does not seem to be the best.
The rock solid defence in Jamie Carrager and Sami Hyypia are 2 of the best CBs you can get in the game and play well together. John Arne Riise at left back and one of the best in FM you can’t go wrong and make sure you never sell him. With Sami’s age you must get some cover for him to play in the smaller less important games.

Tactics,
Typical 4-4-2 with very attacking ML and MR.. whilst the MC are 1 attacking and 1 defending to form a diamond formation.
The DL and DR play inline with the DC’s but can advance up the pitch a little to assist in helping midfield to give that attacking edge and with the class of Liverpool defenders you can get away with this.

Tips,
Positions to buy players for would be an AMR a young striker who does not mind playing in reserves and in first team in lesser matches. A DR to cover Finnan and 2 DC to cover Carragher and Hyppia who you do not want to tire out in lesser matches. As with liverpool’s first season is VERY long.
