Overview

With a huge stadium and top facilities Ajax have all the makings to get back to the great team they were in the late 70’s.As they can make a lot of money through gate receipts and have quite a few talent youngsters like Ryan Babel and Hedwiges Maduro who Babel is only 18 and Maduro 20 and both got in my first team every week!!!! Ajax also have Champions League football which they can make a lot of money from if they get a good run in the Champions League .Ajax also start off with a 5 million transfer budget which you can sign a couple of good quality players.

Goalkeepers

They have two very good keepers the experienced South African Hans Vonk and Maarten Stenkelenburg .Stenkelenburg is the better of the two despite being 13 years younger than Vonk .Stenkelenburg performed really well for me getting 8 most games and soon became the Dutch number 1.And Vonk he is a very good backup goalkeeper who when he steps in does the job!!! Also Vonk can be sold on for around £2 million at the beginning of the game whichi snt a bad fee for a 35 year old!!!

Defenders

I played five at the back with a sweeper and two just in front of him and then I played two wing backs .At sweeper I played John Heitinga who cleared everything up really well at the back for me and not much got passed the Dutchman!!! But you might have a bit of trouble keeping hold of him as Barcelona and Real Madrid Just to name a few seems to always want to sign him!!!! Just in front of him I played the 20 year old Dutchman Hedwiges Maduro and next to him I played the Belgian Thomas Vermaelen the two of them played really well together but I think Hedwiges Maduro was the star of the two and he is also one of the team that Barcelona were chasing!! And the two wing backs I played Maxwell on the left and Hatem Trabelsi on the right. Trabelsi didn’t perform very well so I would sugest a replacement for him but Maxwell was awesome and was one of my stars of the team and got the best overall rating in the team achieving 8.19!!!!

Midfielders

In the midfield I played 3 attacking mids Wesley Sneijder ,John Obi Mikel and Lebohang Mokoena .The three of them were brilliant in midfield each one of them scored goals in double figures in the season and assisted a lot more.I signed John Obi Mikel for 900k and I signed Lebohang Mokoena for 400k.So I only spent 1.4 million and bought about 10 million pounds worth of players

Forwards

Up front I played Ryan Babel and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar .Ryan Babel was my top goal scorer with 43 goals in the season and is only 18 . Klaas-Jan Huntelaar scored 18 league goals so the two of them had a real partnership and were an unstoppable force in the league and Champions League!!!

I would rate them as 2/5 difficulty as it can prove difficult to get the right players in for the team, But well worth giving them ago!!
