Peterborough United Team guide 1.1 General Information ----------------- Club: Peterborough United Full Name: Peterborough United FC Nickname: Posh Ground: London Road, Peterborough Capacity: 15314 (9614 seated) Training Ground: Adequate Facilities Chairman: Steve Holt Managing Director: Barry Fry 1.1 Starting Finances ----------------- Transfer Budget: 25,000 GBP Wage Budget: 19,250 GBP Week Current Wage: 20,455 GBP Week Wage Differential: - 1,205 GBP per week OVER 2.1 General Impression ----------------- Nice small club... not one of the richest 2nd division clubs around but should challenge for playoffs with most managers... 2.2 Playing Staff ----------------- Very poor small squad... really needs some good signings or loan players... Looking at the team after 6 months in the game there are some players who really stand out and should not be sold! Sean StLedger, Sagi Burton, Chris Plummer, Mark Arbor 2.3 Backroom Staff ----------------- Board set realistic targets are promotion contenders.. the board do not mindyou being over spent on wages a little more (so far mines 5,000 over) and im not getting any threats.. so they are realistic in the fact you spend to get somewhere.. 2.3.1 Coaching Staff ----------------- Coaching staff are very poor and you only start with 2 or 3... So purchasing new staff is a first thing to do.. Assistant Manager is very poor... If the club had the money I would have sacked him cause his stats are very below what you'd expect at this level!! 2.3.2 Scouting Staff ----------------- Scouts for this league are bound to be poor.. dont trust what they say so send them out to scout but check every player they come backto you with before trying to buy!! No real need to purchase new scouts... 2.3.3 Physios ----------------- 2 or 3 physios... I didnt purchase any new physios due to being over spent but I do think its a good idea to get 1 more in due to alot of unfit injuries at this level.. 3.1 Tactics ----------------- Best tactics to use, if you get the right players, is a slightly attacking game with the back four set in a defensive mode.. and when you are a goal up slow the play down... Check the players for tiredness and change your team often as the fitness levels at this division are not good.. rotation of players will also increase the teams morale and players worth. 4.1 Recommended Buys/Sells ----------------- Due to a small squad I have kept everyone apart from 1 keeper but he was worth 2,000 and I was being offered 10,000 for him.. Get as many players on loan as possible.... definatly a striker, 2 midfielders (1 centre 1 left) and a defender (central)... look for players on a free.. 5.1 Conclusion ----------------- So far a good little squad.. not the best in the division but looking like they are going well as long as you get a good training method set up, signing coachign staff and make sure you get some steady loan players.. After 1 month in charge and looking into the club deeper you really have to know what you are doing to take on a lower division club.. Playoff/Promotion team.. If you stray less than 8th the board and fans start putting on the pressure... well worth a challenge... Also I did NOT use FM Scout to find any players..
