Quinton Fortune £2.5 million
John O Shea £3.2 million
Ruud Van Nistelrooy (Possibly during the January transfer window or even at the end of the first season maybe) £15m-25m
Ryan Giggs (He is still good but getting no younger) £2.5million-£3million

Manchester United Starting X1
GK:Van Der Sar – Good for a few years but I would definetly suggest bringing in a younger keeper alongside him possibly Igor Akinfeev or Arenas those are the two I normally try to get.
DR Gary Neville – Again will be good for quite a few years but could do with a younger replacement for the future I would recommend either Anthony Vanden Borre and if not try Nigel De Jong he’s class young and has it all.
DL Gabriel Heinze – He is quite good for a few seasons. as for evra hes not really that good i dont think get Fabio Santos or Marcelo to replace evra
DC Rio Ferdinand – World class no replacement needed for now but i would reccommend Gonzalo for later
DC Mikael Silvestre – He is absolutely terrible at CB but he can play good at LB an immediate replacement for him would be Vincent Kompany
MR Cristiano Ronaldo – Young Pacey + Deadly. Another good MR is Aaron Lennon he would be amazing 2nd choice
ML Giggs – I would look to bring in either Leo Messi or Silva (valencia guy) to replace giggs as he is getting on a bit now
MC Scholes- Ideal replacement would be John Obi Mikel or Joao Moutinho
MC Smith – he is not a natural CM and you could do with strengthening this postion maybe Javier Mascherano or Carrick or Diego Souza
FC Rooney – enough said. good backup to him would be Falcao
FC RVN- sell him and bring in someone who is younger and better such as Robinho. Also try Iaquinta (Goal Machine)

Most of the Manchester United squad is Getting old now so your main priority is to find some younger players to fit the positions of the older players at Manchester United who do not perform as well and who are beginning to age GooD LucK .

Recommended signings:

Javier Mascherano: Everybody of course knows what a fantastic player this lad is he is a great DMC probably can become THE best Defensive Midfeilder in the game and is always a prime contender to win awards both in the Premiership , Europe and even things such as world footballer of the year even though he is only at the young age of 20 years old.

Vincent Kompany: He is a young and a very solid 18 year old centre back that plays for Anderlecht he is quite well known for being good on the game but he is very good physical stats are all good and he also has quite a good first touch and is a decent passer of the ball basically he has all the stats needed to become a world class defender. Yet again he is another player who is quite cheap however he tends to attract interest from a few other big clubs such as Arsenal and Real Madrid so you will have to get in there fast if you want to successfully sign him without someone else stealing him from right under your nose.

Aaron Lennon: 18 year old winger very quick likes to collect the ball and run at opposition defenders and put in crosses. Could cost you anything from £5-12 million but is a very good young player and turns into a world class player and breaks into the England team at a very young age of around 20 years old.

Igor Akinfeev: Manchester United tend to have bad luck with keepers recently and they have adopted a thing about buying crap and dodgy goalkeepers but this guy wont let you down costs about £8-15million but worth every penny and has excellent stats all round, he will easily become your first team keeper after 1 season if not sooner if he is trained in the right way he will soon become world class after 2-3 seasons and be the most dominant keeper in the world winning every goalkeeper award there is to win.

Michael Carrick: This lad is absolutely amazing on this game his passing range is absolutely immense he hits long shots well and is a fantastic free kick taker since I signed him for £7.5 Million he has been banging the goals in and running the midfield and his value has now raised to £11 Million and he is just getting better and better and is very consistent and a contender for Footballer of the year.

Nigel De Jong: This lad is another great buy he plays for HSV, he can play DR,DC,DMC,MR(i think) and can fit in to defensive midfielder or if you really need him he can play right midfield as well, he is quick and is fantastic at tackling and never backs out of a challenge, he has great marking and heading stats as well, when I buy him he normally costs from about £8million-11 million (correct me if im wrong)he is another player who is worth every penny and he is a very versatile young player who could become world class in time.

Leo Messi: This lad is top quality and is a great buy and fits the left winger’s role perfectly plus once again he is both very young and cheap and he is a fairly versatile player and can play in a lot of different postions such as AMRLC which is very helpful if you have injury problems in your squad. He is quite similar to Cristiano Ronaldo in my opinion in terms of what hes good at and how he plays he can create something out of nothing and this is the kind of player that wins u matches messi is another player that is bound to be world class

Silva(valencia): He is the best left winger on the gamw without doubt at only 19 years old(i think) he is mint at the beginning of the game and you can get him for about 8-16 million but that is the most that I have ever paid for him personally I think he is a great signing and he scores loads of goals If you decide to let him take most of your set pieces he will produce many of goals and many assists and his value will rise easily past 20 million and you will have alot of interest in this guy but what ever you do please do not sell him because there is no one better than him and your team will suffer greatly.

Loic Nestor: He is a 16 year old French defender very young yet very cheap put him in your U18's for a few season and with the training schedules im gonna give you he will become pretty damn amazin and in the long run could replace rio ferdinand and with all his U18's experiance he will just keep getting better and better and challenge for proper 1st team football. The way i would do it with this fantastic player is put him in your U18's for 2-3 seasons then in the Reserves for 1 season then bring him into your 1st team by this time he should be ready to make the big step up good luck with this guy.

Falcao : He is 19 years old and plays for River he is an pure animal he scores loads of goals and in the future will be to hot to handle not that he aint already lol but all his stats shoot up in the second season and he shud be challenging Henry for the top goal scorer award also he plays well upfront with rooney with is another big bonus because he assists alot aswell. He costs around 11million but he is worth every penny because he become the most deadly striker on the game after the second season he just scores for fun so keep the faith with him and he will repay you big time with loads of goals

Joao Moutinho: This lad is just simply an amazing player. He requires all the abilities to become a world class player in the centre of midfield. He has great attributes at passing and he has a fantastic first touch as well. He assists loads of goals when I buy him and although he can cost you quite a bit of money he’s worth every penny as he repays it when he’s out there on the pitch doing the business week in week out.

Youth Players to sign (U21’s)
GKs:
Vincent Degre: Young goalkeeper the lad is only 15 years old at the beginning of the game and you can get him for very cheap having to just pay a compensation fee of around 250k but he definetly has the potential to become the best goalkeeper on the game in the near future

Volkan: he is another young and talented keeper hes 16 when the game first starts and you can get him for a compensation fee i think its about 500k but if he signs a new contract you will have to pay about 800k-1million because he soon turns 17 once you get him put him in your U18's and try and loan him out if not he will just have to fight against Vincent Degre and Ron-Robert Zieler which is no bad thing let me tell you it will help his development alot more well it did for me because he was more competitive nd working harder and harder just to be 1st choice at U18's level and so were the other 2 keepers lol.

Defenders:
Micah Richards: Big strong solid centre back/defensive midfielder he is an excellent young prospect with a lot of potential and he is a young English player who will one day be a star player in the England first team great buy and he has great stats on those required for the position which he plays in.

Billy Jones: This lad is dubbed the next Jamie Carragher in the game and he lives up to all that hype as when he reaches the age of around 23 or 24 Years Old he can becomes one of the best defenders on the game and breaks into the England squad at around the age of 22 Years Old and yet again he is another versatile player who can play anywhere across the back line or in a defensive midfield role if it is necessary that you will need him to play there and at the beginning of the game he only costs you about £2-3 Million and he is a great buy for that kind of money. but for now loan him out or put him in your U18's or reserves if you cannot get any one to loan him.

Per Mertesacker: A really good centre back and he is a fantastic prospect for the future in the game and don’t let his stats delude you at the beginning of the game as he does not look so great at the start but give him a season or two and he has the potential to develop into one of the best defenders on the game (I know I say that about almost every player I’ve listed but its true lol). You will have to get him quick though because a lot of big clubs are after him once again and he will cost you up to £5.5 Million or something like that anyway if you dont snap him up soon you will regret it because he nearly always goes to Barca or AC Milan.

Midfielders:
Ismael Aissati: A great young player who definitely has the potential to one day become a world beater he has very good dribbling skills, passing skills and good physical attributes for his young and tender age of just 16. You can easily purchase him from PSV because at the beginning of the game, his contract is unprotected as he is too young to sign a professional contract i think you have to pay 1million compensation fee but hes worth it if hes trained well he is dubbed the next robben. if you put him up for loan which is what i reccommend you do there will be loads of interest in him and you can basically pick which club you want him to go to. If after a few seasons you dont think hes developing well then just sell him and reap the profit i never needed to do this because he was pure class but its just a helpful hint for you.

John Obi Mikel: This lad is yet another amazing young talent and he can get you plenty of goals and assists which he gets for fun and you can sign him for just £1 million at the very start of the game he is the 1st person on the team sheet week in week out his value has rised to 11million and he is a wonderkid(i can prove this) he is a genius can score some crackers or can just feed it to rooney and for 1 million its a pure bargain i would reccommend this guy to every one for any team but you need to sign him as soon as you start a new game because there is other interest from all around the world and he will definatly be snapped up and you will regret not getting this gem.

Sherman Andres Cardenas: His stats are pure amazin for his age so just imagine what a couple of seasons in your U18's or Reserves he becomes deadly he will be one of the best midfielders on the game soon enough and will torturing teams with loads of assists and goals so now you got yourself a gem and you can get him for no more than 500k which is a absolute bargain. When he turns 17 send him out on loan if its posible he will benifit from some first team experiance and this will make him a better player in my opinion so good luck with him train him well nurture him well and give him the odd game here and there(when hes about17-18) and there you have it he will be world class in no time.

Distel Zola: He is a young French Midfielder i think he can also play MR if needed he is quality but not straight away you need to keep being faithful with him and after a couple of season he becomes immense all his stats just shoot away and he will be worth quite abit and soon enough he will be on the fringes of breaking into your 1st team and once he breaks into your first team squad there will be no getting him out.

Strikers:
David N'gog: This player has great potential and therefore can become a fantastic player if you treat him well and give him the right training schedules he’s only 16(i think) years old at the beginning of the game and he plays for Paris he will probably cost about 500k and is sometimes dubbed the next Henry or Anelka or Trezeguet which is no bad thing because on the game they are all goalscorers soon enough he will play for the french U21's squad and his record for them will be good. He doesnt even play for the french U18's squad because hes so good for his age. Shortly he will be in the french 1st team trust me.

Sergey Kisliy: At the beginning of the game most of his stats arnt that impressive however in time he becomes amazing later on so get him quick though while he is cheap i can normally get him for 100k and before some of the bigger teams such as Real Madrid or Arsenal snatch him as they all begin to go for him after a while and once again with good training he can become amazing and if he isnt just sell him because you can get a good 6 million off him but i have never needed to sell him because he does so well for me this is just a helpful hint for you.

Kerlon: This lad is an amazing young Brazilian he is only 17(i think) Years Old at the beginning of the game and he plays for Cruziero and he is very skillful and he is a very pacey young lad and he is very good on the ball with a good first touch and sensational dribbling skills and another one of his best attributes is his long range shooting which is very deadly and helps to provide most of his goals he works very well with Rooney and they both get lots of goals and assists between them and they both provide goals for one another and can score for fun and if they both hit form at the same time then JT Carragher King Campbell had all best watch out!!! you cannot sign him straigh away though because your not allowed to sign brazilians under the age of 18 which sux i no but when you can he has a minimum fee release clause of about £4-5 million which is really good concidering his talent but you had better snap him up quick otherwise barcelona will and he will screw you in the champions league.

Stefano Chuka Okaka: Very young is only 15 Years Old at the beginning of the game and therefore you can steal him and you only have to pay about £1million because he is U17 years old he is a Italian striker and has great ratings for a player of such a young age and he turns out to be a very pacey player and will score goals at U18's level for fun and you only have to pay him about £350 a week but its only on a youth contract so you have to be careful that nobody attempts to steal him off you.

Good Young Prospects at the club:

Ben Foster: He is a good young Solid Goalkeeper hes about 22 years old I think and he begins the game away on loan at Watford I always tend to leave this lad out on loan for the whole of the first season then when he come back i either try and loan him out again or leave him in my reserves for a season and see how he does because with good training he can become a great goalkeeper and can possibly even break into the England squad when David James retires.

Ron-Robert Zieler: Again he is a young goalkeeper and he starts off in your youth team (U18’s) he is a good young german lad who is supposedly the next ‘Jens Mustermann’ (Oliver Kahn) However this lad is only 16 years old and so you have to keep checking up to make sure that nobody attempts to steal him as he is on a youth contract and not on a full time professional contract and therefore he can be poached from you and you don’t want that to happen because he is a good young goalkeeper who can turn into one of the best Goalkeepers in the world with good training schedules but at first he doesn’t look to good but he will improve rapidly so do not worry about it he will develop however, a slight problem with him is that he sometimes has a high eccentricity rating which means he tends to get sent off or he can get in trouble with the referees occasionally.

Chris Eagles: Over time and with several different games with Manchester united I have found that Chris Eagles can turn out to be very good with lot's of good training and loaning him out he will be absolutely immense if you use him as a right sided midfielder, his pace is decent for his age and is bound to improve and for me he has extremely good crossing and passing and he has an immense passing range. I would definitely advise you to send him out on loan for a few seasons if this is possible of course in the first season he already starts away on loan at Watford where he normally gets a good game and he comes back to your team a decent player possibly worthy of challenging for a spot on your substitutes bench depending on what players you have signed and which players you now have in your squad.

Kieran Richardson: He is supposed to be good but i dont really think hes nothing special and there is alot better out there that can play the same positions as him. But if you think hes good by all meens keep the guy. I have talked to a few people about Kieran Richardson and some say be is good for them and others say he is pretty poor(which is what i think) and at the begining of the game you can get 5.5 million off pompey for him which is good because you could buy someone better anyways its upto you what you want to do with Kieran Richardson i have told you what i think and i would sell him but goog luck with this guy.

Sylvan Ebanks Blake: This young lad is a very pacey striker and he is a pretty good goalscorer he takes his chances pretty well so it will be interesting to see how he turns out but yet Again I would definitely advise sending him out on loan for a few seasons he begins away on loan (if you have the update patch 6.0.3) then once he got back from that loan I try to sent him back out on loan again try to send him on loan to a championship side he will bag plenty of goals for any championship side.

Giuseppe Rossi: One of the more well known of the younger players. He is a very similar type of player to Paul Scholes in my opinion he can either play in an attacking midfield role (playmaker) or up front if needed there and he is another player who I tend to normally loan out to say a mid table-promotion chasing championship side to get his a bit of experience and to help him improve so he will be better when he is ready for the step up to the premiership whilst hes on loan he scores alot and assists alot he is going to be something special in the future.

Darron Gibson: I dont really rate this guy either he never produces any thing good for me so i normally just sell him for an easy 1million but its up to you if you want to keep him or not yet again i have asked a few people what they think of Gibson some say hes good but some say hes awful(which is what i think) so if you do keep him good luck to you because i do not rate the guy what-so-ever.

Phillip Bardsley: Good solid young Full back or Centre back if needed who if you cannot find a decent back up right back I would probably rotate this lad with Gary Neville occasionally and use him as back up for the first team as he is solid and if you can retrain him as a left back he can also become a very versatile player and it is helpful to have a player in your team who can play anywhere across the back line but if you get some one better loan him out for a few seasons and he will become even better.

Pique: Very good highly rated Centre back and I would once again recommending loaning him out and when you put him on the loan list it tends to create a lot of interest and he can easily be loaned out to a mid table premiership club and get a game there and after loaning him out for two/three years he is a very solid centre back who could break into both your first team squad and possibly even break into the Spanish national squad consistently he is an ideal replacement for Rio Ferdinand in my opinion he has everything needed to become one of the man utd greats.

Rincon : He is a decent young Brazilian (enough said lol) RCB he starts off away on loan at Sao Paulo but when he gets back he seems solid and should attract interest from higher championship clubs and if you loan him to one of those teams he should come back and be ready to compete for a place in your starting eleven of your first team and yet again he is quite a versatile young player who can play anywhere in defence except left back and if needed he can perform OK in DMC but definatly try to loan him out for more experiance

Floribert N ‘Galula: If given the correct training he really has the potential to become a decent player in the future as he is only 18 years old at the start of the game and at that point he Is on the brink of breaking into the Belgium squad he is a big strong Defensive Midfielder who will get stuck in wins the ball and will never back out of a challenge in a game no matter who it is that he is going in with also try loaning this guy out if its possible.

Jonathon Evans: He is a solid young centre back who begins in your youth team and I’ve noticed that he can become a great player if you give him some first team opportunities he has some good ratings and has good ratings on the things that are required for a player in his position to be good at such as heading tackling and marking he is also quite composed which helps and he’s a good penalty and free kick taker for my youth team as well after about 2-3 season he become very solid but for now just try and loan him out if not let him play U18's football this will help his developement.

Bearing all this in mind it all just depends on how you are doing after a few seasons for example if you are struggling a bit and not winning many games and not being very successful or if you are in some kind of financial trouble then you could try selling a few players because you could probably get a good £20 million for Rio Ferdinand and I would advise you to try and sell Ruud Van Nistelrooy maybe at the end of the first season as once he gets over the age of 30 his value tends to decrease quite rapidly and his stats begin to get worse. If you were to sell Ruud Van Nistelrooy I would probably advise you to try and sign a pacey striker there are many options for this but I would personally go for either Jermaine Defoe or Kerlon of Cruziero but it all really depends on exactly how much you can get off teams for Ruud Van Nistelrooy I also think that Falcao can be a fantastic replacement for Ruud as in my opinion he just does more all round and is a better all round player in terms of assists ratings man of the match and even goals and he is much cheaper than Ruud is and I think that if you manage to get Falcao for anything less than £10 milllion then you are getting an absolute steal however the maximum I would bid for him would be around the £20 million mark and I would advise you not to go over that because you can get even better than him for that kind of money in my opinion such as Fred and Robinho and all the other popular and regularly mentioned strikers for this game which there seem to be many of.

Once again depending on how you are doing at the present time I mean if your winning trophies and if you are very successful as a manager which is very possible then its all well and good for you to enjoy your success for now but I would advise you to begin to invest a bit more money in the youth and in young players by young I mean players that are good for the future and that you can place in your U18’s squad for now maybe people like David N’Gog can become a good player in the future if given the correct training and he is sometimes dubbed either the next Nicolas Anelka or Thierry Henry or David Trezeguet in which case definatly get because on the game all three of these strikers are very good goal scorers.

My Tactic:

Thumbs up

Excellent in depth guide, agree with a lot off what you say in respect to the younger players, loan them out, rotate them in the first team if you can (eg. Carling Cup and against weaker Prem teams) if not sell them and make a good tidy profit
