Downloadable Version Here!!! Ever wondered how your managerial ratings works and how to improve it?
Well another one of my FAQ/Guides will give you a look into how to change this hopefully simply and quickly and hopefulyl achieving a 20 across the board. This will follow my season as manager and what choices I make and results effect my rating as manager.
I am sure that this may not work acorss all the divisions but I shall look into this.
Well I have chosen a Premiership Club to run whislt writing this cause I feel that its the easiest way to see the figures rise and fall due to the expectation of the club.
Being a new manager you start out with 10's everywhere and after every media decision, game, signing etc I shall check my rating to see if it makes a difference.
I was asked as the new manager of Liverpool FC, just before the first game, if I felt pressured running such as world famous club. I thought the realistic choice was to answer with that I hopefully I will prove to the fans I am the right choice as manager.
After looking at my ratings the Media Handling and Ability To Handle Pressure both rose by 1. I decided not to be too egotistical.
When declaring interest in players you wish to sign try to avoid the usual pitfalls which can damage your reputation such as going after players who are unreachable and/or being interested in alot of players and not signing any as both of these will have your fans and the press laughing at your and your ambition will fall.
First chance I got of releasing a comment about the next team I am to play, in a friendly, which was Real Madrid and I decided to release a Negative comment. This had a huge effect on my ratings which sent Media Handling to 13 and Professionalism to 12. I do believe that you have to pick and choose the clubs you are negative to, at least in friendlies due to you never really play World Class teams that much.
Just before the first game of the season I released a comment about the next team which happened to be West Brom and said that their manager has no probkem getting them relegated. My ability to handle pressure after the Real Madrid Game and now has risen to 13.
One downfall I have noticed is that my ambition has sunk to 8. I believe this is because I have not made any major signings or said that I want any World Class players in my team as of yet.
Well on winning the first match and putting a very negative comment at West Brom my current mangerial stats are this: Ability TO Handle Pressue: 13 Ambition: 8 Loyality: 10 Media Handling: 15 Professionalism: 14 Temperment: 10
What does this tell me so far about what you do and say over the start of your managerial life? As far as a big club goes they expect big name signings but dont keep saying "you want this player" all the time. Comment alot on other teams through the media and you will become media friendly which I am not sure is a bad thing.
Loyality hasn't risen cause I believe it wont unless I sign others and turn down offers for jobs.
Professionalism I cant really understand at this moment due to I have made a few comments and nothing really harsh.
Temperment will adjust when another mananger or press decides to slate me I believe but we will see.
After a few games of good results remember to praise the team and a player or two just to keep them and the fans happy otherwise the payers will not be happy.
Making negative comments against the next team has proven again that your stats do rise. I made the comment of relishing the prospect of beating the next team and my ratings has risen. Media Handling 17... Professionalism 16..
I haven't been realsing alot comments before and after in the first month of playing in the EPL.
On another start I signed a few good players before the first transfer window had closed and my Ambition rating had not improved and as well as releasing the same comments as before but as slightly different times before the match my rating at the end of August was all 10's except fro Media Handling and Professionalism. Bearing that in mind I never really slated a manager and did not make any comments before or after 1 of the matches so far.
I shall go through a season with liverpool and note my findings and thoughts and then see how this differs with a 2nd division club and write a final analysis on it all... This will take me time to put together and Part 1 will change as I find new things as I go thru the season!!
