There are 2 ways to make your FM run in a window mode..

The main thing is that your graphics card must be running at the screen res of 1024/768 first..

First way:

*Run the program
*Click on the corect option such as "New Game" "Load Existing" or whichever is right for you.
*Click on Properties at the top of the menu screen
*There is a box in there which allows you to select window mode.. Tick it and press SAVE.. If your graphics card and res are right it will allow you.


Second Way:

* make sure your screen resolution is 1024*768
* right click then on the FM link on your desktop
* then click properties
* in the target box write this "C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2006\fm2006.exe" -windowed -small_screen
* apply the new settings
* start the game
* go the game options
* click the option to play in the windowed mode
